    I believe my ic muscle is weak/tight since I have very weak erections and no morning wood. I think this was due to excessive masturbation and tensing bc muscle. Over the past few weeks I've managed to relax my pelvic floor by doing lots of reverse kegels and stretching. My flaccid penis hangs low, so do my testicles. However, I still have weak erections. Time to strengthen ic muscles

    After reading much of the literature surrounding the ic muscle, I attempted to do a flaccid ic kegel.

    I took a deep breath and did a strong reverse kegel. While holding the reverse kegel, I tried to lift my balls and pull back the base of the penis near the pubic bone (without flexing bc muscle). I held this for 5-10 seconds until I ran out of breath. What I noticed was that the glans of my flaccid penis ballooned up and became glossy. The instant I released this, it shrivelled back to normal. The whole time my penis is flaccid and relaxed. I think I my bc muscles might have activated a little bit, but it was distinctly different than a kegel.

    The movement seems similar to the first 20% of a normal kegel, but your not flexing bc muscle since you're holding a reverse kegel.

    My question is, have I managed to activate the ic muscle? And will doing so regularly strengthening my weak/tight ic muscles and improve eq? Someone who has managed to activate ic, please tell me if your glans ballooned up when holding an ic kegel flaccid.

    I did these exercises 30 min ago. Now whenever I stand, the glans of my penis fill up with blood and my testicles hang super low. My penis retracts in length however my girth increases. This is all while completely flaccid. However, it goes back to normal when I sit down. Whenever I do any light reverse kegel (which happens naturally while standing for me), the same thing happens. Still no erection though but my penis has gotten sensitive and almost itchy (in a pleasurable way). Its almost like my ic is automatically activating whenever I do a reverse kegel. Although I might be wrong.

      I haven't noticed any other effects other than flaccid penis and balls hanging really low and heavy. After doing more experimentation, I'm not sure if I'm activating the ICM afterall. When doing a strong reverse kegel for 20 seconds, I notice the same effects. Flaccid penis becomes thicker and the glans starts to fill out and become hard like an erection. I think whats happening is the CS and the glans are inflating with blood, while the CC is still soft. It's like a flaccid cock with an erect glans. Never seen anything like it. I'm doing nofap so I haven't had the chance to try this when erect. I will keep doing this for a week. Can an experienced member here tell me if its possible to activate ICM while flaccid on a reverse kegel alone? Or should I continue to raise testicle/twitch dorsal base of the penis while doing an RK.

        RK erections are fuller than K erections. Makes sense? With relaxation(RK's), the penis is able to become fully erect.

        Sounds to me your PF may be a little tense still, and off balance. You're basically balancing your pelvic floor. Stimulation and EQ will improve. The battle is getting there.

          I decided to try doing these again. I've now realised that I only need to do reverse kegels. I did deep squat hold for 10 minutes to relax my pelvic floor and stood up, maintaining good posture so that by glutes and abs are engaged. This makes it easier to reverse kegel. It's good posture to engage core to avoid getting ATP. I was able to maintain the state of of mild reverse kegel (complete relaxation) without breathing, or tensing. Each deep breath I could almost feel oxygen traveling to my penis. I touched myself without porn or imagination and got a mild erection. However, this time the glans was inflated and it was thicker than normal. I then did a reverse kegel and tensed my core firmly and held it for 30 seconds. My entire penis rose up and went up to 80-90% erection (more than it's ever been). After I released, it subsided back and little bit. As I was continuing to breathe through my pelvic floor it started becoming harder. I once again tensed my core and did a strong reverse kegel. It became a firm erection once more. The glans was more inflated than its ever been. This time I decided to release the reverse kegel and do a strong bc kegel. My erection was bigger than I had ever seen it. It was almost painful. 100% erect. I held this for 30 seconds. After relaxing for a bit, I felt a mild/pleasurable soreness in my testicles and public bone. I'm so happy as this was the hardest my penis has ever been. And the entire time I wasn't aroused at all. I can only imagine how hard it would get while watching porn.

          However, one thing to note is that I'm only able to keep my pelvic floor in this relaxed state while standing. I don't think I would be able to do this sitting or laying down. While I'm standing it feels like I can hold a mild reverse kegel endlessly, and it makes it much easier to do a strong reverse kegel for a minute.

            I woke up with morning wood for the first time. Though it was only a 40% erection, it's better than waking up with a turtled penis. As I stood up however, the erection became slightly stronger. I'm not sure if I should do erect reverse kegels again today as I don't wanna be greedy and cause another problem. I imagine an ic strain wouldn't be very fun. I will try edging tonight and update here how it went.

                I wanted to give an update. I've been seeing improvements, although they are slow. A part of me was hoping for instant improvement, as in waking up next day with a fully functional penis capable of becoming 100% erect instantly and staying that way. However, I definitely am making progress, and I can imagine that in one month there would be extreme improvements. A part of the reason is also because I want to take it slow and not overtrain.

                I've been doing glute bridges, clamshells, squats, deadbugs, planks, leg raises everyday in order to strengthen my glutes and TVA, the muscles which I believe are most important to erectile health. In addition to that, I've been doing a mild stretching routine with focus on my legs/hips. Hindi squats for 20-30 minutes in total throughout the day. Holding a mild reverse kegel throughout the day.

                In addition, I discovered that I'm able to do flaccid IC kegels (which I wasn't able to do before). I'm only able to get the twitch motion, however I can't hold it for more than 1 second. But it feels distinctly different than doing a kegel as I feel my perineum and anus completely relaxed. Another thing to note is that I can only do 5-10 at once before I lose the mind muscle connection so I stop because I then feel my BC muscle activating instead. I do 3-4 sets a day of 5-10 IC kegels whenever I'm able to. Sometime's I can't feel the muscle so I wait for while until I'm able to get the mind muscle connection. I'm working towards the ability to be able to hold these IC twitches, because that's where I'll see the greatest improvement.

                In addition, I do a 10 minute edging session every other day. I stimulate myself while standing to get an erection without fantasising or visual imagery (NoFap + PornFree). I manage to get an 80% erection and lightly stimulate myself as I do reverse kegel holds for 30 seconds. This helps me get to 95% erection. When I can no longer hold the reverse kegel I immediately switch to a strong BC kegel to trap blood in my glans. I can momentarily achieve 100% erection with my erection pointing up for 5-10 seconds before I feel my penis going down. I repeat this cycle 4-5 times until I feel my erection getting weaker and I stop.

                I've been noticing improvements. I wake up with mild morning wood everyday. I'm able to edge for longer and get an erection more easily. I also feel as if my dick is in a semi erect state throughout the day. Occasionally I can get really hard for a few seconds without reverse kegel or kegel. Most importantly I feel like I have more control over my pelvic floor muscles. I will keep to this routine for a month and for the first time in my life I am optimistic that I will get better. I am sure that if I were to watch porn or be aroused during edging sessions I would be way harder.

                My progress might not seem like much when compared to the other posts regarding the Ischiocavernosus who seem to have seen drastic improvements after only one workout, but for me it's the most I've had in a while.

                  I woke up today with better morning wood than normal (60% erection). As I stood up and was naturally able to relax my pelvic floor more (due to gravity and abdominal activation), my erection got stronger and by doing mild reverse kegels along with light touching I could get up to a 80% erection. What I've noticed is that unlike most others, my erections are stronger while standing. I'm assuming this is the case because my pelvic floor is more relaxed/stretched when I stand thus allowing more blood flow. Another reason might be is that when I push my dick down towards my feet, I feel it get harder and the erection feels more pleasurable. When I lie on my back my erection lies on my stomach. However when I stand, due to gravity my dick is naturally pushed down which makes it harder.

                  I also find that it's become much easier to activate my ic muscle both flaccid and erect. I've reduced most bc muscle involvement when practicing flaccid ic twitches. I can activate the icm for a quick instance without involving my bcm at all. However, if I try to hold that twitch, my bc muscle starts getting involved lightly. My current goal is to practice holding an icm contraction without using the bc muscle at all. However, I'm not too worried about minor activation of the bcm as long as the ic muscle is getting activated too. I'm doing enough reverse kegels that minor activation of the bcm can't tense my pelvic floor.

                  I find my edging sessions improving too. Not huge improvements by any means but each session I feel like I'm progressing slightly. Slightly harder erections which last slightly longer. I've started reading erotic stories online to get me horny enough to have a good edging session. It's not stimulating enough as porn but at the same time it helps keeps my libido alive. I think this has in particular helped me as my libido has been very low ever since I've been doing NoFap and stopped watching porn. I'm gaining confidence in my ability to get an erection. I know that if I'm in a situation where I'm turned on enough, I will get a decently hard erection and be able to maintain it for bit as long as there is minor stimulation. If I can keep an 80% erection while edging where there is minimal arousal (which can get harder with reverse kegels or normal kegels), then I should have no problem if I am with a girl and I'm truly horny. I think giving up porn has helped me in this regard as I'm training myself to get erections with minimal stimulation.

                    When you say you've got weak erections, do you think it's mainly at the base of the penis?

                    My penis base is really weak and wobbly but I've been improving the situation by performing strong erect reverse kegel holds at all 4 angles, (up (by standing up), down (semi erect, in a glute bridge position so the glands is tipped towards your head), left (lying down on my left side and finally right (lying down on my right side). To get erect I watch female only web cam (i.e. no porn) as I find it very time consuming to try to get an erection with my mind only. Also, I don't ejaculate afterwards as I have severe Pre E so I'm hoping by getting an erection and not ejaculating that will help in this area as well.

                    I first heard about the erect reverse kegels in the below thread (under the 'Tuesday' section), however I think they need to be done at all 4 angles to make a strong base.

                      I would say it's weak in general, which would obviously mean its weak in the base too. I think by improving my eq it should make the base firmer since ischio becomes stronger too. Thanks for the idea of doing reverse kegel in different positions. I will incorporate it into my routine. I think my problem isn't just low EQ, it's also low libido. Porn didn't exite me anymore, I can't remember getting that insane level of teenage hornyness. That's why I think quitting porn and jumpstarting my libido/imagination with erotica will improve my erections. I think it's a combination of weak ischio and desensitised brain. I would suggest that you don't watch web cam as it is very close to porn. Even I was extremely addicted to porn and couldn't get even a weak erection without it. However, after 2 weeks of abstinence it's become more and more easier to use my imagination. Now I can get an erection (though it's weak) just by reading erotic stories on reddit. If that is not stimulating enough for you you should just stick to pictures instead.

                      Btw, have you noticed any improvements doing erect reverse kegels? Have you considered doing flaccid ic kegels? It's difficult but once you get the hang of it it's easier.

                        Sounds great after you trained doing it in different positions and situations you can work to balance the pelvic floor and find the balance point of no kegels and 0 effort. Then you can use kegels whenever you want ro influence the course of pelvic action

                          I have noticed significant improvements doing erect reverse kegels in different directions. When I get an erection it always leans to the left and is really weak at the base but now that I'm training different parts of the base it is improving.

                            Exactly, I also got a sock and taped it up into a semi-circle shape so that it is smaller and easier to handle and I can place it on the penis. I can then do holds or reps. I can def feel that its like a workout for the different base parts of the penis.

                              Today I smoked some weed and got really high. All of a sudden I got insanely horny and got the hardest erection of my life. 100% boner effortlessly. I felt like I had the ability to activate the ICM the entire time and hold it which made my dick insanely hard. It felt completely different. It took me a long time to be able to finish in addition. After cumming my erection stayed for 15 minutes. I've never experienced anything like this before. I think somehow the weed helped me activate the icm. I hope I'm able to achieve this again without weed. This was reminiscent of my teenage erection. I felt the muscle paining in a pleasurable sort of way.

                              How it felt when I activated it? While holding a light reverse kegel, It felt like I was activating some muscle but my BCM was completely relaxed. I'm going to take a break for today and try to edge tmr. If anyone can explain why the weed helped my erection that would be great.
