      It is good to see this thread still kicking along, this topic is very important and the effects of becoming addicted to porn needs to be addressed. Everyone needs to be aware of how much porn they watch and how it has effected them over time. Not only can porn be linked to ED but it could also be the cause of some desensitization issues as well. The first step is to recognize that there could be a problem and then making the choice to correct it. I do understand that most guys will automatically say this can never happen to me and I would say that those are the guys that need to take a step back and look again at the amount of porn that they watch. Great thread pe Zen.

        Last night I tried really hard to focus on the feeling. I could not feel anything. Literally. I tried different stroke methods and nothing worked. The only thing I could do to keep a boner is by stroking the base like in edging. I am also able to kegle blood into it to make it stay erect.

          It took several weeks for me to get out of 'the rut'. That is when you can't PE anymore to anything but porn. I was really depressed and needed answers. This is actually what brought me to PE in the first place. I did a bunch of research and I found out I had psychologically conditioned both my penis and my sexual abilities to cum quickly, and to porn.


          Today I remembered this: I used to masturbate quickly and with vigor- I would stimulate my penis and feel that feeling and in no time flat there was jizz everywhere. This made my body think that this was the norm, cumming fast. And it translated into my sex life. The only thing that has really really helped is SLOW EDGING. When I say slow I mean SLOOOW. I use lube that stays slick for a long time (Cetaphil moisturizing lotion) and I very slowly edge. When I get close to PONR I kegel. THen I reverse kegel and repeat the process.

          The main factor is - long periods of masturbation without ejaculation (or ejac after enough time has passed). Effectively I am retraining my body this way, by focusing on the physical feeling. The goal for me is to be able to get hard with no effort, not even fantasies.

              Good to know, I will find a different time to masturbate then. It's not good for my mind, having rough time masturbating that is.

              From June of 08 to June of 09 I experienced premature ejactulation. When I had sex and when watching porn. It took seconds, literally. Less then 10 seconds 9/10 times.

              I got on antidepressents that slooooowed me down a lot. Now I have ED. But it's always been there, just that one year where it was in reverse.

              So a couple weeks eh? I will stick with this and hopefully get better.

                So, I masturbated and it took 45 minutes to finish. For the first 20 minutes I "meditated" then gave up, 25 minutes of fantasy. I held an erection the entire time but it was EQ6.5 40% of the time, the other 60 maybe a 7.5? I am going to start a health diet and do more cardio. Also going to get some supps. And maybe Viagra for when I get laid until I have confidence again. I had my blood checked a couple months ago and everything was a-okay. I measured and that is going into it's own thread too.

                As far as masturbating-the pe-Zen method, it's tough to feel anything, hopefully I will get better at it. Maybe I should just stop the session instead of giving up and fantisizing. Your thoughtS?

                  No, fantasizing is o.k. It's not bad to fantasize, much more healthy than porn. But it is still 'unreal'. Our job is to have a better relationship with our penises, to be receptive to sensations. Since you are just beginning it might take a few tries of really really focusing on the feeling of it. But you will get it, and it sounds like you already made progress today!

                      This is an informative post - at 18 I would call myself a porn addict, and i'm still a virgin, so go figure why I have some ED atm. I found earlier that after really focusing hard on feeling, I did start to get more blood flowing. So, i've since deleted my gigabytes upon gigabytes of porn and have started using only my mind for pleasure.

                        PEZEN, this a fantastic post and I have been using the EXACT same method which you describe as "meditating on the pleasure" to greatly increase and improve my own sexual response. I refer to this method as the Pleasure Principle.

                        Once the mind begins associating the penis with pleasure, the function and sensations of the penis improve dramatically.

                        One note I would like to make is that I dont think porn is entirely bad, and perhaps should be allowed in moderation if no real life female is available. But not more than once or twice per week.

                          this is so true. I had years where I couldn't initially get it going with a woman because I was so conditioned to porn. So I actually had to start taking viagra to act as 'jumper cables' to have sex with women. The hardest part is when you say 'no more porn' and you go a month or so without it and then when you see it again it's like reintroducing your mind to heroine or crack. LOL! The high becomes even more intense. So whatever you do don't become conditioned to masturbating to porn.

                            I think it helps to delete all ties to porn on the internet. I've just got rid of all the videos and web bookmarks I had. Now whenever I start to get a stiffy I think "well this is a good sign for my ED" rather than "I need some porn for this!".

                              Good posts all of you, I'm glad this is reaching others, as I needed to see this myself at some point in my past. Porn is brainwashing! The production makes it 'seem' much more intense than it actually is, by looping clips and hiring actresses that are 'loud'...and of course guys with big cocks, which we won't even go into

                                As I'm new here I've only just read this thread for the first time and I'm nodding in agreement with the intial post.

                                I viewed lots of porn in my teens and it does have a negative effect. Not only is porn addictive, it also gives you unrealistic expecations of your partner during sex. Professional porn is far from reality and the quicker people realise this the better. Porn is simply made to appear as arousing as posible so that we cum, the use of scripts, camera angles, retakes and even fake cumshots lead us ttobelieve that we should be able perform the same. In reality sex isn't going to be as good as you see in a porn movie, your partner might not be perfect, your cock might not appear to be as large, the screaming orgasms don't happen as easily and our expectations are blown. This leads to disapointment and even the loss of erection which is any mans worst nightmare.

                                I still view some porn when I'm not going to see my girlfriend but it's usually amateur videos on sites such as yuvutu.com which I find just as arousing. I've also be known to read the odd short story on Literotica.com, they aid fantasy while masturbating rather than giving visual stimulation. The stories can also provide me with some nice ideas/tips that I use with my partner.

                                So in my opinion, I conclude that pornography isn't to be used regularly and don't overlook amateur pornography or other forms of stimulation. Overuse can result in disapointment and unrealistic expectations. Be happy with what you've got, if you're lucky enough to have a partner save your seed for for him/her and enjoy the sex and different varieties together as a couple.
