I know they work and I know they can give you better and harder boners but they are safe to use right? Either flacid or erect? I have done some kegels on and off not much but since the past few days my erections are weak, weaker than usual pathetic strength, no lasting power, the glands get virtually no fill. I haven't cum for days either. Sorry If I sound paranoid but this erection problem has been haunting me for many years. I am constantly worried it will get worse I just don't want to risk fucking up my erection anymore. I am sure you can see where I am coming from. I have told my father about my longterm ED I love my dad and everything but he isn't very helpful and insists "it's all in your head" and that I should stop masturbating so much. Little does he realize I don't do it that much anymore because most of the time it's not worth the bother and it's not always very enjoyable. I think I am calm but maybe part of my mind isn't relaxing enough to produce full erection. I admit when I was younger (21) I tried to have sex with a prostitute when in Spain and I couldn't get hard , she couldn't get my dick up I couldn't myself either, so I am dreading having sex when I eventually do until my ED gets better I don't see much point in trying to have sex. However I am getting the supplements Kingpole suggested.

Take a deep breath, UKGuy.
Kegels can help a lot but kegeling too much can hurt your EQ. And it is easy to kegel too much. I suggest that you get on a regular kegel program every other day. Take a long term view and don't be in a hurry.

I think that there is no way that kegels can hurt you. If you do too many or too often for your stage of fitness, then you tire out the muscles and that can reduce EQ as Pirate said. Think about it like you would starting a running or exercise program -- if you do too much when you are out of shape, you get overworked and can't run or excercise at all until you rest and recover. Slow and steady is the best way to work into any kind of excercise program, kegels included. Make sure you get enough rest in between workouts.
Kegels work muscles, and having those muscles stronger (and your whole unit with better circulation) cannot hurt you, only make you better. From everything I've read here, kegels are absolutely the best medicine for poor EQ.

I would say kegals do nothing but positive.
I do think much of your particular issue in psychological. You have stress and performance anxiety which can throw a much larger monkey wrench into the works than overworking your pc's.
Remember the brain is the largest sex organ in the body, and barring any real physical impairment, when a sexual issue does arrise this is ussually it's point of origin.
And I have tried to overwork my pc's with kegals and I think it may impossible for me, I get bored or lose interest long before I feel the burn or any signs of overtraining...but that's me.Do you expect me to talk?.... No Mr. Bond I expect you to die....Goldfinger

Sorry maybe you guys are right again and some of it is all in my mind, I don't know why but I haven't been getting good erections lately (I have some ED anyway but it seems worse than usual), either when watching porn or thinking of sexual thoughts (fantisizing) I barely get much moving down there. Then again today I woke up quite hard one of the better morning erections I have had recently in terms of hardness (my PC muscle seem to keep flexing while had a monring erection for some reason) but through out the day/night I haven't been able to get a good erection over the past few days and this is even on my own masturbating. It's weird though because I don't stress out very much, I am a pretty calm and chilled out person yet sometimes It feels like I can't get a hard erection even going for days without masturbating or ejaculating.

I think it all goes back to the porn and masturbation factor. I think that one can train the penis to respond only to masturbation and also make it used to ejaculating before reaching full hardness.. Just like with porn.. you become desensitized and you find yourself needing more and more porn to turn you on.. different types of porn. I would imagine that over time.. the same could be said for masturbation.. over time, if done constantly, you may have desensitised your self to that as well, to the point where you need something more extreme to give you the pleasure you need. Maybe even your hand is not good enough anymore, let alone a female body part. At this point I believe a long term break from ejaculating and porn should be done, so that you easily become turned on by more natural and 'simple' stimuli.

Hey UKGuy, it's good that you talked to your Dad. His suggestion that "it's all in your head" probably won't help you much, but he's 100 percent correct. Getting nocturnal or waking erections has nothing to sexual dreams or thoughts. Although they may coincide with them, these erections are purely caused by the autonomic nervous system. It shows that the physical equipment is working. You said in one post that at times you have kept yourself "erect for hours," that proves you don't have a freakin leak.
The problem with it being "in your head" is that it's under the control of a part of your head that the conscious mind has little control over--your subconscious. It's over 80 percent of your mind, and a very powerful part. If this has been plaguing you for years, get help. Try a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or even a good qualified hypnotherapist. You can probably do a few sessions with them and have them teach you the proper way to do self-hypnosis. Then instead of worrying, you can spend the time in a relaxed state using your conscious mind to reprogram your subconscious to work for you, instead of against you.

Okay so while we're on the topic.... I've been trying kegeling and I want to make sure I got it right.
Kegeling is basically clenching the muscles on your pelvic floor, such as used when stopping and starting your flow of urine in while peeing. But, when I'm kegeling I usually get clenching in the anal area, but when I do the stop peeing thing it seems other muscles are activated closer to the penis shaft area. I'm not sure I can explain it and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. Altough I wouldn't know any other way to do it, there is only so much you can do with your body. When I kegel, I feel the muscles clenching in the anal area and there is a very subtle tug to my penis (sometomes there isn't). So am I on the right track? I assume that tug will become stronger overtime?

There are 3 types of kegal, one that clenches your butt ,one that moves your dick up and down and the famous reverse kegal.
Over time you should try and do them seperately.
Others can give you more details, I must return to "normal" life.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried self hypnosis before and it helped me build up my self esteem and gave me a better view of myself. I have quite a calm mind though, I rarely get thoughts racing in my head I don't get stressed out that often. I am just not feeling great at the moment my erection has been poor for days and I don't understand why I am pretty much avoiding dating or getting a girlfriend because of my problem. I know things could be worse and I am well off compared to others but I still feel a bit shit because of my ED and poor erection. It's hard for me to be truly confident with women and my sexuality when I have this issue. True. However If I stop stimulation I lose my erection quite quickly, in fact If I don't stimulate myself upon getting an erection I tend to lose my erection even faster. I want to see another uroligist to at least get some tests done I am 99% sure I have venous leakage. I did see a uroligist before he was a nice guy and all but he insisted what I have was normal and said test weren't needed I should of been more aggressive about it I guess. I am thinking of going to another uroligist but my Dad thinks It's a waste of time.
