      • Hey Imac. Quick question. I do kegels and reverse kegels mondays, wednesdays and fridays but I was a bit confused on the proper form. Recently I´ve been pulling back while doing kegels and stretchin out (like pushing out my pee) while doing reverse kegels and I have noticed that I get a bit of a sensation when I do. I don´t know if this is recommended. Can you help? Thanks.

        • I have a question regarding reverse kegals. Right now I'm doing a reverse kegal but basically pushing my lower stomach out since I cannot isolate the muscle alone. Is this the current approach to build up to figuring out how to isolate the RK?

          • How can I know if I have an over-trained pelvic floor? I don't really have more spasms or anything like that, but I realized that I can't even do a kegel because I feel nearly no contraction and push when I try to do it. Before like a week ago or something like that I could feel it all the way from the balls and the entire system down there, that the kegel was a "huge, strong and a powerful" push..

              • hmmmm....I have definitely noticed in the past then when I massage the prostate via aneros, that I get much better relaxation of the pelvic floor, much better blood flow INTO the penis, not only during arousal but all day long pretty much. This seems quite similar to the effects of reverse kegels? I wonder if there's a connection here between aneros/prostate massage and reverse kegels? Indeed, I wonder if the aneros/prostate massage suffices?

                • Hey Dick, I've been doing only; edging, kegels & reverse kegels for the past month and have to say that my penis is responding well..., arousal, morning wood, and staying power. I have the Aneros and haven't used it in a couple of years, but now that I'm familiar with the sensations gleaned by K's & RK's, I'm considering using this as an alternate pelvic floor training method. I've given the JP90, modified JP90, and meat hanging a rest for the past month..., after almost 2 years and little growth during the past year, my package just may need rest/recovery before it responds to PE growth/girth exercises.
Best of luck to you and please post your progress!

Hey, thanks ironmike - well, it seems to me that aneros/prostate massage counters directly the hypertonic thing one can get with too many Kegels.

After such a massage, the whole region is more relaxed; anus/pelvic floor; and there is much more blood flow.

So, I'm thinking that perhaps it achieves exactly what the reverse Kegels are attempting to achieve?

                    • Many guys do massage of the area in addition to other training . The most common method is to sit on a ball placed in the perinum area. This does have a relaxing effect on the pelvic floor and surrounding area. Yoga style stretches are another method to relax the area

                        Thank you sir!

And that's the point of the reverse kegels more or less right? I guess I'm wondering if the aneros massage can replace the reverse kegels and keep me in balance as I do more regular kegels.

                        • The rk can be thought of as a direct stretch within the pelvic floor ,yoga stretching as generalised stretching of the whole area. The rk also helps gain concious control of the pelvic floor . The massage forms are just that massage.

I get spasms in the r- cuff area, I use stretches ,massage and direct exercise of the area to keep it in tune.
In like manner stretches and massage of the pelvic area can be used side by side.

                          • Nice thread. My eq has been really bad for months.. I'm rarely ever a 10 and I'm thinking it's because I've done many many kegels and can hold a kegal forever but I've never done reverse kegels so I'm hoping my poor eq is because of that?

                            • Just a thought, when i locate my BC and touch it, it`s soft, and as someone said feels like spaghetti.
When I`ll start with basic kegels it`s hard as long as I`m holding that kegel, when I stop it gets back to the soft and flabby form.
Does it mean that pelvic floor is balanced?
I hope you`re all in good wood :)
