Okay, I tried this one today. I needed to put about 3 medium sized pillows under me in order to really make my penis the highest point of my body, and in order to really feel something in my pelvic region. Though, I have two problems. One is that my lower back REALLY hurts in that position. And the second problem is that you have said in the picture to stretch the legs. But, when I stretch my legs after some time they hurt and I need to leave them relaxed.

I think that you will feel sore only if the exact muscles affected by this stretch are indeed tense. I really dont know which are those muscles, but if you have those already relaxed and dealt with, maybe thats why you dont feel it.
