I'll look into it. It kind of just randomly happened. She was on her period, really horny, and then just suggested it. I had baby oil since I use it for jelqing.

I'm in a small town for school so the only places I have to buy lube is a drug store and Wal-Mart.. I've never really seen an anal lube. Would a Trojan or KY lube work, or should I try to find something specifically for anal?

If you are going to get into the habit of anal, I strongly recommend anal lube. It has just the right consistency and lasts a good long time. Other lubes just aren't the same.... I really prefer those made for anal, they enhance my enjoyment.

You can order anal lube from a reputable website that sells sex toys and lube (like Adam and Eve) quite cheaply. They ship in unmarked envelopes and boxes, totally discrete.

Many anal lubes include a bit of lidocaine or a similar compound that is a topical anesthetic. When I first started experimenting with anal sex, I thought that sounded like something undesirable -- I wanted to feel everything, and the idea of using anything that might numb me or my partner sounded counterproductive. Well, I was wrong. When we first started using "real" anal lube with lidocaine, I found that the whole experience was more fun. He could get me ready faster, my anus relaxed more easily and more quickly, and neither of us had any sensations of numbness. We could just enjoy the intense experiences of anal sex without as much worry or hassle. Sometimes (using non-anal lubes) it would hurt when he first tried to press into me.... with anal lube, I never feel that anymore. Part of it may be experience -- we both have a much better idea of what to expect, and know better when I am ready for him -- but I also think that anal lube (with lidocaine or whatever) takes just enough of the edge off any discomfort at the first major stretching that penetration takes. Anyway, as you can see, I am totally sold on anal lube.
And anal sex.... I really enjoy it now.

I only tried it with a woman once, many years ago. My wife has no interest.

The one time I tried it, it was a bust. I had no experience with it, obviously, but the girl I was with had, and had apparently enjoyed it with other men since she was the one who suggested it.

I was probably around 5.25" around at the glans and distal shaft at the time. We went slow, used lube, tried dilating her with fingers, etc and I followed her lead but she was not able to relax sufficiently and we gave it up after about half an hour. She never suggested trying again, nor did I with her, or any other woman since.

Sometimes a bit of anal pain can be manageable if one is really aroused and into the experience, because anal sex involves a lot of pleasure, too (and can feel wonderful). However, it feels even better if there is NO pain -- and that is totally achievable if you use enough lube, the right lube, take enough time to get her ass really relaxed and ready, and go slow at first. You are about the size of the man I have explored anal sex with..... and yes, sometimes it has hurt (somewhat -- not too much). But as we have gotten more experienced, I have experienced little or no pain. Then it is all about pleasure! He still needs to go slow at first, but can get completely inside me. Once we get going (and I relax even more) he can go balls deep on every stroke and can go as hard and fast as he likes..... and I enjoy every bit of it.

I've had several partners who loved it and several who just were totally against it. My lady now says it's not sexy. I will keep doing my best to convince her otherwise. I think she's just not comfortable with it and it makes her nervous. She does plenty of things that make up for it though so I'm happy with or without it.
