A pretty good idea when you're having sex, anal or not, with someone you've never met before!

Well after an amazing anal session yesterday, I've come to the conclusion that simultaneous orgasms are actually a good deal easier while fucking in that way than while doing it normally. Looking into buying a good lube, and I am looking for one with lidocaine in it, but does it matter if it is silicon or water based? Think I will go with silicon as it is meant to last longer

Any suggestions? Does anyone have any experience with ''EROS silicon glide?'' or ''WaterGlide anal lube?'' those are the too that I am looking at

EDIT: also, a lot of lubes on amazon are promoting the fact that they don't have lidocaine as a good thing, why is that?

My husband and I use Astroglide(water based) with anal.

We do have some that we started out using that has lidocaine in it, but we no longer use it.

I think the reason they are promoting not having lidocaine as an ingredient(besides just getting you to buy their brand) is that if you aren't familiar with anal, using a lube with lidocaine, and trying it, could be slightly dangerous as the lidocaine does numb enough to take the edge off inital penetration.

Thanks for the reply SLU, I went with the eros silicon lube because it has lidocaine in it and after doing some googling it turns out that the WaterGlide didn't. I decided to get the PREMIUM version of the eros lube though lol

Because it will be our first time I thought that the lidocaine would make it easier for my girlfriend, not only from a physical point of view but also from a psychological point of view because if she knows that there is anaesthetic in the lube she will hopefully be more relaxed as she won't be stressing out about the possible pain of anal.

But I do appreciate that the numbing effect of the lidocaine could mask any tearing so I will be careful and mindful of that.

In regards to positions I need some advice from more experienced members. I presume that doggie is the easiest, but since it will be our first time I would like to be able to see my girlfriend's face in order to gauge her reaction and to make sure that it isn't hurting her. I am thinking of lying her down on her back with a pillow under her lower back so that her bum is raised allowing penetration, I would then stand beside the bed with her feet on my shoulders or we could do it in a quasi-missionary style with her legs wrapped around me as well
