  • About how emotions can affect PE

    Not exactly a question, just some thoughts. It made me wonder a lot today.
    It was a sad day with bad news, problems at my job and personal life. So it was night and time to jelq... well, I could hardly get a 50% erection, I don't wanna use porn because it has made enough damage to my mind so f#ck off those weird things I used to watch.

    Sometimes I could get around 60% and could do some jelqs during a minute or two. In few words, my jelq session was a mess today. So I tried to compensate with stretches, maybe I could build some lenght, though I'm more interested in girth right now.
    I did far more stretches than I'm used to do. Something like holding stretch for 50 secs in all directions (instead of 30), and doing twice more reps.

    Well, do you guys think I did right? Also, I went through the days doing some reverse kegels which I need more than normal kegels for now, can it affect my erections in the end of the day?
    I have days where I have to hold on to lose erection and be able to keep jelqing, but there are days where the problem is the opposite. Is it just emotions and thoughts or is there some physical explanation?

    Stress messes with my PE and libido something awful, too. It'll also severely lower my PONR level (ie - I orgasm at the drop of a hat). I always tried to power through those days as best I could. I'd try different exercises, like you did, and do what I could to salvage the workout. Sometimes you'll have one of the those days where you need to write it in as a rest day and call it day, and that's okay.

    I think the best thing to do is not let it mess up the rest of your week's routine. It was a bad day. It happens. Wake up the next day and tackle it anew.

    So I think you've done well. Just don't let today ruin tomorrow's workout.

      Yooo. As for mood its awesome you know that masturbating to porn will fuck you. Anything that raises dopamine unnaturally high for long periods of time will slowly make people depressed. Over loading the receptors in the brain until they become tolerant and immune to the dopamine. This goes for coffee/caffeine too.

      As for sad days they come about once and while. I haven't been doing any PE as the information i came across too me said that, the older you are, the better the gains. Collagen growth slows down at a certain age it makes it easier blah blah, its in my posts some where. Since ive quit i feel much better, gotten over it a bit which is wicked. Never thought it would happen like it did. But when im older Ill get back into it.

          MANY underestimate the power of the mind on the penis! Under optimal scenarios, when a man is mentally unencumbered his penis (provided he's healthy) will work fine without any input. Any appropriate stimulus- real or imagined- can be enough to stir the penis into action. It's when we abstract mentally that problems begin.

          Stress can negatively affect the penis. What often occurs is that someone who may not have ever experienced any issues with their performance has a negative sexual experience related to subpar EQ. The emotional reaction from this incident can be profound enough to stay in the subject's mind- affecting future contact and even compounding itself as more attention is given to the fear it generates. What used to be looked forward to in pleasure is now met with apprehension.

          Education is the key, and teaching yourself mental discipline can go a long way towards preventing/reversing these types of issues. Even in cases where psychotherapy is needed, it's vital the patient be motivated enough to do his part in mentally/emotionally strengthening himself.

The emotional reaction from this incident can be profound enough to stay in the subject's mind- affecting future contact and even compounding itself as more attention is given to the fear it generates. What used to be looked forward to in pleasure is now met with apprehension.



            ^ This. Alcohol was my main culprit and even after I cut it out it took me a bit and a few meds to help me get over the hump of my eq problems. I was actually avoiding sexual encounters at one time. Was a very terrifying and humiliating time in my life. Never want to go through that again. Having and understanding gf helped a lot.

              There's some very good news about this. men who've suffered in this manner but who've been able to mentally strengthen themselves to get past this often develop a form of immunity granted to them by their newfound perspective.
