  • How to measure bone pressed correctly?

Hi guys, I was wondering how do I measure bone pressed correctly? Do I measure with my penis aiming down and pressed to the bone? Do I measure with it 90 degrees and bone pressed? Here's the second question, I don't get steady measurements, if I'm pressing it against my skin i get 1 number but if I really push the ruler all the way to my skin I get diff measurements, I can be 6.4 inches EL then be 6.8 or 6.9 bone pressed but if I push it hard I can be like 7.1 bone pressed, it's so weird.
I have looked at the "How to measure your penis" post on here, still doesn't help.

I've noticed a small section above the base of the penis that's squishy and sinks more than if it were one so I put the measuring stick about one inch above the base, laying down and touching my penis to the ruler so that the penis and ruler are both kind of meeting each other. To make sure I'm doing it the same every time I press the ruler in as hard as I can against the bone.

The standard way is standing with penis 90° from body, ruler directly above and centered over penis and press in hard enough so the bone stops you.
Holding the ruler vertically instead of flat over your penis keeps it from slipping into the area just above penis where bone is absent, giving a more accurate and repeatable measurement, although probably a shorter one, unfortunately.
I was disappointed when I realized I was doing this, and measured correctly, it felt like I had lost size, which is just silly.
And before that and joining here, I was measuring from the side, I really lost some length in my mind when I started measuring from the top.

You could do it this way, but it the ruler isn't in contact with the penis, the distance could make your visual perspective different between measurements, depending on the relationship between your eyes , ruler and penis. Since we're measuring small amounts of gains, it's easy to be inaccurate this way, better to hold the ruler vertically but in contact with penis, this way perspective is good and ruler won't fall into the "squishy" spot.

I don't like holding the ruler vertical vs horizontal, as maybe it is just me, but I can actually end up with a measurement less than my NBPEL length (for BPEL), given the way things are tilted down there and the width of the ruler. Also doing it that way it is hard to see what the actual measurement is, given you can't see the numbers unless you also use a mirror, or somehow mark the length, then remove the ruler and check visually at the marker.

Personally I just make sure the ruler is centred, and I measure the same way each time. I can always end up within 0.1" or less, so it works for me.
