  • JP90 Program question

So I've been doing the JP90 program for beginners... decided to commit to 90 days of that for the conditioning and see if I get any initial gains.

My question is this... The program says to do the 25 quick/light kegels while stretching. That's what I've been doing, but I've read a few different posts saying you shouldn't do that. So my question is... should I or shouldn't I be doing the quick kegels while stretching?
    Start: 1/1/19
    BPEL — 6 3/8" (6.0375) | MSEG — 4 5/8" (4.625)

    Current:
    Same as above

    Goals (end of 2019):
    2019 - 6.5" | MSEG 5"

u shouldnt - as u might read, it can cause injury, just do the kegels separately

Thanks ya'll. I wonder if a lot of a lot of people are still doing them like me because of the way the JP program is laid out. Maybe somebody can edit that out.

Also, how long to most people hold each stretch? I was just doing it for the quick kegel count, but now that i'm taking that out, how long should I hold each direction?

CAUTION- The technique of stretching while kegeling can be harmful for those who don't have the requisite level conditioning to handle it. if you're new to training it would be in your best interests to become proficient in the standard kegel before attempting to stretch against a kegel contraction.

I hold stretch for 30 seconds at least and i do kegels during my stretch (left , right , outward ) I didnt gain much then so i need to try another method . It is various and it is up to you . You could go for 50 seconds but by a high intensity your dick would go blue . It all depends on force/intensity . I was trying for a while holding 40 seconds but works for me better 30 seconds under really high tension . The less seconds you hold stretch - > then more stretches you should do because time under tension is reduced .
                it was written

Thanks. Guess I just skipped past that. It states it might only be harmful if you're not conditioned. Most on here have said it could be harmful period. And I know a few others that said they started that way and had no negative effects. To each his own I guess.

                  Thanks

Personally I enjoy the kegel during stretch. Their quick kegels so not an intense stretch and intense kegel. In jp90 the stretches as he states are to warm up the tunica. So stretch it, dont TUG it. Just like stretching any muscle, your not just gonna stretch as hard as you can immediately, you'll tear something. You ease into it, and this during jp90 is the same. If you do a nice medium tension stretch, light kegeling should cause no issues
