Does anybody else get a bit out of breath when doing a reverse kegel or am i doing them very wrong?

I think when you do them your body naturally also contracts your abs and diaphragm. I am new to a reverse level routine as well and when I hold one I also have to really concentrate on my breathing not because I am having trouble holding it, but because I find that I don't have a natural breathing pattern when doing them.

You should be able to breathe while holding them. At first you will engage different muscles and it could take away the effectiveness of the exercise. Something I do is breathe through my mouth for the first few seconds while I'm holding my reverse kegel to focus on the muscle I'm squeezing while I relax my diaphragm. I'm now holding my kegels and reverse kegels for 25 minute sets and can hold a conversation while doing so.
