I do the same amount of both. The only difference is the hold at the end of my kegel workout. I can hold a kegel for a while.... reverse... 20-30 seconds at most.

I find it hard to focus on holding a reverse kegel.

Hmm I have opened a thread in mmo group on this.
So far the 30 to 50% model look ok, has anyone done say 20%?

I'm thinking that today might be the day that I start with reverse kegels... Haven't been doing any of those seriously, find them a bit harder to do. Got to go find me some info!

I'd say i'm rolling about the 35-40% mark now. Because of the way my stomach pushes out on a reverse K, i find it hard to breathe steady while holding one. On inhaling its easy, but exhaling more difficult. Since i upped the kegel routine i feel like my kegel could have cut off that oil leak. Had some pretty intense DO's of late, i don't think they're retro's as my EQ doesn't drop too dramatically.

Ok, so I suppose at the moment we are advising 30 to 50%? Has anyone else experimented with more than 50%?
Yes eric I find I have to breath shallow during reverse. Well done on the kegal and do.

I noticed that as well... and I have never tried doing more than equal amounts. More kegels? Yeah, but not more reverse than regular.

Just a word of advice on kegels for anyone who is doing them. I realize that kegels are one of those easy exercises to do anywhere. While you are siting, watching a commercial, eating, etc... However I think that anyone who is doing kegels or reverse kegels should do them on the days in which they are doing their workout. On off days I would advocate that no exercise, whether it be stretching, kegels, jelqing etc..., be done.

Most people realize the importance of not jelqing every single day. Similarly kegels should not be done every single day. The PC muscle is a skeletal muscle and also needs time to recover and repair itself. Just because you can do kegels every single day doesn't mean you should! That is the distinction I would like to make. The ability to do kegels all the time does not mean that it should be done all the time.
