  • question on begining

whats up everyone! I just started jps 90 day routine a 3 days ago. Im doing more so timed though, not sets. like ill warm up, stretches, then do jelqs and v jelqs for the next 30 minutes while watching a tv then flaccid bends in the shower after. Im doing it twice a day once in the morning, once at night, each session between 30 and an hour. I'm just wondering if this may be over training since I just started. Now the last 2 days and today, I've had good signs i believe. and my dick looks and feels better than it ever does so i figure I should stick with it twice a day. However after tonights session im thinking i might take the next 2 days off and start up fresh monday with the 5 day 2 day off routine. or since im doing it twice a day should I maybe do like a 4 day 2 off routine or somethin. Thoughts?

Why would you say you are doing JP's routine when you are not?

His routine does not say to workout x2 per day for up to an hour.

Thoughts? Yes - injury & no gains, if you continue doing what you are doing.

Do it as it is written.

While I am not one to follow the book per say, I definitely think you are doing too much too soon. The other word of caution I have is that if you are going at it now for two hours a day, even if you don't hurt yourself, where do you go from here? Two hours is a long time. I fear you will only burn yourself out. Sure, you are all gung ho now, but how about six months from now? I have seen it so often in the gym - guy comes in ready to eat bear - then quits after a few months. Start slow, start careful, start right - then move on from there.

        Moved to the beginners forum.
But johnnylove if you're going to commit to JP's routine then do so. Don't start it and start adding in other exercises that are meant for users who are more conditioned to actually handle that. Yes your PIs might be good now, but in a day or two how will they be?
Stick to JP's routine for at least two months before adding in exercises. And wait at least 1.5 months before adding volume (reps or time) to the routine.

          I agree with Vulcan & RBI99--

Here's what you need to think about
          1-you're just starting PE
2-a second workout probably wont give you more gains
3-the extra intensity you're getting is probably just increasing your injury risk

Here's a story you can read about how less is more:

Sorry about the wrong forum post.

But yea, thanks everyone for the feedback! That's funny blink that story is actually what made me ask haha. His starting measurements are close to mine and so is his story. except when I heard about jelqing at 17 I thought it was BS -_-
4 years later I coulda been set already! Haha but I'm commited, I'm on a strict workout and diet already which is probably why I went all gung Ho. I'll definitely cut back to one time a day. I do have another question though.
What about after a few weeks , warming up and stretching twice a day? I know the importance of stretching twice a day as far as muscles are concerned...but these are ligaments not muscles soo Idk?

That is funny -- so you already knew the story (obviously). Hey... great mind think alike!

I worry if you split the routine in half, you might not get enough deformation, and on the other hand I worry that if you double the routine it will be too much.

Some extra stretches later on (light stretches like jai, whatever) might be helpful. I would go the full 90 days without too much intensity, then go ahead & try new things after you're done with that. It should give you a good baseline for what good PIs are, how you feel when your making gains, etc.
