  • First Week and Post.

Hey guys, I've been looking around the site for a bout two months now and I would like to say I am very impressed by the way you guys are running this. Everyone seems very respectable and and knowledgeable about PE. Also, the guides I have found here and the advice I have found are very helpful. Anyways, today marks the end of my first ever week of PE using the beginners guide and I do have some questions. Since I am lazy, I only use very hot water from my shower as a warm-up and I was wondering if that was sufficient enough in warming up the tissue. Also, I don't think I am holding the shaft in the right spot whenever I do my stretches because I do feel a stinging pain at the base no matter what I do. Is this normal for beginners? Once again great job with the site and I am very excited to have finally joined.

A hot 10 minute shower should be a sufficient warm up to any PE routine. Just try to keep facing the shower as much as possible so that it gets as much exposure to the hot water as possible.

In which directions are you stretching? I know that when I try to stretch downward, there is a bit of pain from my connecting ligs at the base of my penis. Try to ease into the stretch - a moderate/light stretch for longer periods is better than pulling all out for shorter periods of time. Most guys grip their penises just below the head when they stretch, others about an inch lower than the ridge/circumcision scar. Experiment and do what works for you.

Pain is NOT a good thing.

Hey, I haven't been PE'ing very long either, and I've felt the same thing your describing. For me it was especially intense the first week or two, and then it started to slow down. From my own experience, the pain is just a sign that your ligaments are stretching (positive), but you may be taking it a bit to fast. I think a little soreness is alright, but if it's really intense then slow down a little.

Shouldn't be pain, not stinging pain at least. Ease down on the intensity, and if it hurts after workout back of and take some days to heal. Furthermore, do not cheat on the warm-up! Thorough warm-up is vital for stretching in my experience.

The stinging pain you noticed is small micro tears in your ligaments and connective tissues. These will be grown back as scar tissue, as we all know scar tissue can't grow or be stretched. You probably have cheated your own self out of future gains by not taking the time to do the full routine correctly from the start. A slow steady pace will produce more results in the long run. Lower intensity stretching over a greater amount of time will produce more results and reduce the chances of injury. The more heat that you can place and retain in your unit the better.

Dr. 23: You're probably pulling too hard. Try using gentle stretches. If the pain is at your base and above the penis, it's the ligaments. They are, for one reason or another, tight.
