  • Problem or Paranoia

okay, I've been taking my PE pretty slowly so far. Not to say I'm not dedicated but I haven't pushed myself so far that I think I might risk injury.

Well tonight I possibly changed this. I did my evening stretches (those outlined in the beginners guide). Afterwards I was feeling pretty good so I decided to masturbate to get the blood flowing and do a little edging. Long story short, I starting doing ULI's during my edging rests.

Now I have what appears to be a quasi-circular vein, a little bigger than 1/4 the size of a small marble, noticibly visible on the top/right of my shaft. Their is no pain, and the other veins on my shaft are more noticible too. Is the perhaps an existing vein I just never noticed before? Is it possible to injure yourself with ULI's (they seemed pretty simple and are supposed to be done at 100% erection)? If ULI injury is possible, what type of injury does this sound like?

If it is an injury, here's to hoping it's something minor. My girlfriend is going out of town for a few days, so I'll have rest time, but I was hoping to have sex with her tonight!

    Thanks,

    Tall Man

Uli's do make invisble veins pop out. And as your dick gets bigger you may notice more of them. Does not sound like you injured yourself. But give it a couple of days to shrink back down. Don't do uli's until you have done the beginers program for at least 3-4 months. It is better to be safe than sorry.

thanks Kingpole. Yeah, I think I'll take a few days off... Maybe do some soft stretches tomorrow and Saturday, and see how things look Sunday and perhaps restart then.

Kingpole, you mention not doing Uli's until I've been doing the beginners routine for 3-4 months. I'm a few weeks away from that, and I'm definitely going to take your advice. But, just so I know, when I do get there and start trying Uli's again, is it simply: get fully erect and squeeze the he'll out of the base (with OK grip)?

Don't go overboard with the ULI's. These and Horse 440's have caused more thrombosed veins than any other exercise. That you had a marble sized vein pop out on your shaft is an indicator that you are not ready for either of these exercises. When you do start back on the ULI's, squeeze just hard enough at the base to hold the blood bulge. (About 80% erected.) You have created a weak spot in that vein that could lead to a full blown thrombosis. Wait a few days until the vein swelling subsides. Then start off again with a good 10 minute warm up and some light stretching. NO Jelqing for at least a week. TallMan, we are trying to get you through the initial stages of Newbiness, WITHOUT injury. JP

          JP,

I know and appreciate it!!! What can I say...One stupid moment of weakness ('oh, I've had a good workout today, I'm feeling good, let's add something simple') and there ya have it.

The vein isn't huge, so I don't think I did any real damage. Taking today and tomorrow off. If everything looks good I'll start with warm-ups/downs and basic stretching again on Saturday. Then from Sunday forward I'll start making a day-by-day call on whether or not I'm ready to restart jelquing.

I'm also going to do some more searching on the forum over the next few days regarding jelqing. I'm really unsure as to proper pressure levels, and based on what I've read so far, I know a lot of other newbs are too! When I do get back to jelping I want to make sure I'm doing it right... because I'm really looking forward to some gains (who knows, maybe a few days off resting the vein will produce some new measurements).

          Thanks!

Yes, taking some time off sometimes, will astound you that you will actually see some growth. When I was hot and heavy into the "Rub and Tug," I would take a full week off every second month. I seemed to get a growth spurt during those times. As far as the Jelq grip? Use just enough squeeze to move the blood bulge. Tighter than that is not necessary. Good luck TallMan. How old are you, by the way?

It is n ot good to squeeze the hell out of your dick, even fully erect!!!!. Your not ready for uli's or squeezes. If PE hurts it wont work. Remeber the penis is primarily made up of smooth muscle. Arteries are made up of smooth muscle. There are sensitive pain receptors in arteries when you get a claudication clot or some other type of artery injury it hurts like hell! Smooth muscle must be exercized with the greatest of care. No pain no gain does not apply to PE! So keep your sessions in the feel good range. Last I heard pain does not feel real good.

Kingpole, of course I used that phrase in jest, but I will admit that finding the right amount of pressure with all of my exercises has been my biggest issue since day 1.

                Thanks again guys!
