    Is there a recommended time to start pumping? I read that people recommend that you focus on maxing out your manual stretching/jelqing gains first. Currently, I'm only doing manual stretching as I don't like the list of negative side effects that can happen with jelqing (discolouration).

    I've been manual stretching for almost 3 weeks, should I hold out before I start pumping or is it something I can jump on sooner rather than later?

    If done properly, jelqing shouldn’t cause discoloration. Jelq with an erection level between 40 and 70%. Do not grip too tight, just enough to feel blood moving up the shaft .

    A conditioned dick responds better to devices and reduces the risk of injury. However, if you start slowly and build up intensity over time, you can start now. You will need a pump with a vacuum gauge. LeLuv offers a decent quality system for about $70 on Amazon. You need to order one with the proper sized cylinder:

    Girth —---> Cylinder Diameter

    3.50 to 4.50* --> 1.50
    4.75 to 5.25* --> 1.75
    5.50 to 6.00* --> 2.00
    6.25 to 6.75* --> 2.25
    7.00 to 7.50* --> 2.50
    7.75 to 8.25* --> 2.75

    You should start with 5 to 10 minute sessions at 3 hg (inches of Mercury) and build up to 20 minute sessions at 5 hg over 1 to 2 months.
    you can than add a second session several hours apart.

      I started pumping before I started a manual routine then when I started manual, I did the JP 90 and did pumping in place of jelques.

      As long as you stay safe and smart, devices are as safe as manual.

      You will get different opinions on this and none are necessarily wrong unless they advocate extreme routines of either manual, devices or a combo of the two.

      If you start pumping as a newbie, read the sticky threads in the devices forums, stay at lressures of 5 or lower and start with sets of 5 minutes to start.

      Build up slowly

      Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before
