I tried doing PE a while back, but it wasn't working for me. The main thing preventing me from properly "doing the job" was that i didn't know how hard is too hard for jelqing, and for some reason I also had a hard time getting semi erect to do these excercises(just when i do the excercises :P). I'm gonna start from scratch & this time try JP's 90 day routine. I just need a bit of input to help do this right. I don't want to break this thing haha.

Go get an egg, seriously, hold it in an okay grip and squeeze until it breaks. Use less pressure than that when jelqing. You'll find that the grip is still fairly firm. It sounds like a grip that wouldn't crack an egg wouldn't be worth doing, but it's a nice, firm and reasonable strength grip that will be good for jelqs without causing undue stress on the shaft. If you use a slow and even pressure and motion, with a nice amount of lube, you should naturally find your penis getting to a more erect state. It should get to a semi erect state through the simple physics of continuously sending blood through the shaft up to the glans. Be mindful of the hand change-overs between jelq strokes, to keep that extra blood from escaping too much.

oh wow thanks. I will have to try that tmrw. Also how can i tell that i had a successful session? I've read a few things that mentioned to check if the head turns redish & if u feel fatigue. Is there any otherways?Originally posted by XitemeM View PostGo get an egg, seriously, hold it in an okay grip and squeeze until it breaks. Use less pressure than that when jelqing. You can measure your BPFSL after stretching, and if you've been in the zone, it should be a little longer than normal.
BPFSL = Bone Pressed Flaccid Stretched Length
Also, you should have a plumped flaccid for a while after jelqing, and a puffiness around the meatus (penis eye) can also be a sign of effectiveness.

XiterneM made a very good point about being mindful of the hand change-overs. Used to be I would have to restimulate every few minutes - I only started keeping my erection level consistent throughout a session when I made sure to grip at the base with the other hand when the jelqing hand is halfway up the shaft.
Also, jelqing with the penis aimed slightly downwards seems to help me keep my erection.

Hand change overs are highly important because of pressure differential on the shaft. Actually, a while back a member has an issue where he jelged with one hand (no alternating hands) and found a few months later the he had a bigger left corpus spongiosum with a pic to proof it. You want to alternate that both sides get the pressure evenly.Begin 7/25/2011:

So today was the 1st day of my second attempt. That egg trick certainly worked (although it left a mess for me to clean up
). Aside from that things seem to go better overall. I still have a hard time telling if I jelq correctly, but I'll check again tommorow & see what happens. Thanks again for your help guy's. It's just pratice from here on out. This time i'll make sure not to let go.
