Hey guys, so quick question. When I do kegals, my butt also clenches at the same time. Is this normal or am I doing it wrong? Does this happen to others? I just want to know if im doing my kegals right.
Your using a lot more muscles than need be. Try to isolate, if you're not sure, the next time you take a piss, stop mid stream a couple of times, it's those muscles that you want to isolate.
There are 2 seperate things here.
Firstly while most beginers do them as a unit it is possible to split kegels into front and back . Back kegels will close your sphincter.
Some authors notably imac, believe the ability to front kegel is important for pre e control etc. So an isolated front kegel should not cause sphincter clench, but a combined or back kegel will.
Second many guys use other muscles with kegels notably bum and stomach muscles and them can have issues seperating them and increaseing isolation.

I'm interested to know any techniques as well. As far as I know it's something we have to figure out by ourselves. The only thing I've heard of is specialised biofeedback medical equipment. Maybe it was just an ultrasound.
