  • L-Arginine questions

    I am 18 years old and just purchased 1000mg L-Arginine tablets (50 in total). How safe are these tablets and when and how should I use them?
    Any other tips for a beginner starting JP90 is also appreciated.

    they are pretty darn safe if you do not have a heart condition. at 18, i am assuming you do not. follow the directions on the bottle. I sometimes take some before a workout with a coffee for a pump during my lift. you can take them before an edging session for better eq.

      L-Arginine wasn't effective for me when I tried the pills some years ago but I might give these another go now that I have more info. At the time I was only taking about 1000mg a day and this probably wasn't enough, going by what I have since learned.

      It's perfectly safe but I did notice it upset my stomach a bit when taken without food, as is generally recommended.

        I picked up a bottle of L- Arginine as some Zinc today.

        I'm going to start taking them tomorrow.
        I've read that 2 tablets of the L does wonders along with PE training.
        Start 1/16/13 - 6.1 X 4.5
        Now - 7.0 x 5.0

          Its pretty safe to be fair its only an amino acid, I found that it helped a lot with my EQ and I still use it a lot. I wouldnt think there is any side effects unless you go about 5 g per day

            It's pretty safe, but take too much and you'll be on the toilet all day

              About the toilet thing...... don't take too much, cause you will get a runny tummy. Just take like 1-2 grams and if you need to take more split through out the day, that should prevent your ass turning into a tap

                Not much (probably less than 10%) of the l-arginine is absorbed when taken in tablet form. Powdered (AKG or Ethyl Ester) l-arginine is much more effective. I take as much as 7 gr of l-arginine ethyl ester on an as needed basis without any significant side effects so 1 or 2 grams in tablet form should not cause any issues.
