  • Making barely any progress with a light routine

    I started using a routine from a book back in 2012 and gained about 0.5 cm in a month, but then I stopped and came back to PE in 2013 with JP's routine and made no gain. This year I've been recommended to try a light routine.
    It consists of starting at 10 jelqs and add 10 every 3 workouts. I worked out 1 day on 1 day off and 3 months later ended up at 1 stretch in 4 directions and 100 jelqs with no gain.

    The last routine was probably too light for me. My question is, should I keep doing this routine or switch to another one ? I was considering the one from the book again, but it's much more intense (5 minutes of stretching and 10 minutes of jelqing).

    What else are you doing besides the jelqs and stretches? You might try increasing the trainin frequency as well- as outlined here: https://www.pegym.com/forums/penis-e...a-routine.html

      Nothing else, except kegels. I'm at 100 kegels every other day now. I read your thread and it looks like it's the same intensity as the last routine I used.

        IMO re-evaluate the workout variables. Are you using a proper grip while jelqing? Is it too loose? Are you positive you're getting good blood movement during a jelq? Are you warming up properly? Etc. Check the basics over first.

        I've heard of people that are extremely slow gainers, but I'm not convinced the reason for the slow gains is natural instead of inefficiency.

        Mind you, I don't mean this as a criticism, this is very un-intuitive stuff we're doing to our bodies, and it takes a ton of analysis of PIs, sensations, and "clues" before, during, and after a routine to really make sure you're doing each and every routine with maximum efficiency.

        Took me a while (years) to learn this aspect. The first few times, I gained nothing. This time, since January, I've gained .4 inches in length and .3 in girth. And now I'm positive I'm doing EVERYTHING perfectly.
        Starting size: 1/14: BPEL 6.0 x MEG 5.0
        5/14: BPEL 6.5 x MEG 5.3

        Current Size: 11/15: BPEL 7 x MEG 5.5

          I think I'm jelqing correctly, except for this part in the helpful jelq thread : "9) when I finish if I try to squeeze my glans to open my urethra (piss hole), it doesn't open because my glans is puffed up with blood. This just may be the best and simplest test to see if you have forced a large amount of blood up into your glans."

          I can't seem to get that, no matter what force I use on the grip.

            Increase the intensity then, it sounds like you are well conditioned at this stage and your routine is far too light, as you mentioned.

              Do you mean intensity like the one in this page ? So that would mean just jelq with a stronger grip. I will still add 10 reps every 3 workouts, 2 days on 1 days off.

                  Can you elaborate on that? You appear to be doing a truncated version of that routine already. If you were to include some Stop and Starts, you should note some better gains.

                  Can you provide some more details about your stats- like your EQ levels? If your EQ is low, then you'll want to raise it if you wish to see any appreciable gains.

                    Wow, awesome thread there! There have been a lot of people asking about designing routines after they have finished up with their newbie routines, fantastic thread to link them to.

                      Considering the last routine I'm using lasts for 10 minutes, I thought about : 5 minutes of stretches and 10 minutes of jelqing as tunica is my limit. I'm not sure if jelqing targets more girth or length though so I don't know about the duration of jelqing. My goal is length (BPEL) then I want to work on girth later. I would choose 2 days on 1 day off, and will try to gradually increase up to 10 minutes of stretches and 20 minutes of jelqing in 5 weeks. Does it sound like a good routine ? I don't want to over train like I did with JP's routine so I don't think I should spend more than 30 minutes on PE for now.

                      Can you elaborate on that? You appear to be doing a truncated version of that routine already. If you were to include some Stop and Starts, you should note some better gains.

                        Even if your EQ is high, unless you're very sexually active you'll need to do some type of stamina work to ensure that your EQ can keep up with your size gains. As your penis grows, you'll need to be able to deliver the same proportion of blood just to maintain your EQ.

                            You can perform whichever routine you like The "Jelq Free" just happens to be a favorite of mine, and most of the clients who try it like it and report good things about it.

                              I guess you could continue in the way you are going(no progress) or you could try out what
                              He's recommended as a routine.But no one is forcing anything on anyone.
