    alright, heres how it went down.

    I kept a diary from july last year when I kinda started it seriously, and about a month after I started the diary I got serious....... or so I thought!! my bpel was dead even with my bpfsl, and that all changed after a lax and honestly broken up routine.

    I gained an inch in bpfsl, and sometimes I can see just over 1/2 an inch bpel, only sometimes I can see that, but my nbpel really hasn't changed (which is the one we all want) but they are gains nonetheless.

    my routine which I had started writing down was right, or so I thought, but it turns out that it was a really intermittent routine, as in sometimes I would train 2 days in a row then have 1 day off, sometimes I would tran 1 day and 3 off, this sort of thing is exactly what I idid, I had terrible consistency, sometimes a week off, here there everywhere........ really not committed. I did have my ups and down while PEing, but I followed them, I think my consistency has been my critical failure in PE?

    can anyone tell me if this would be a major factor in not gaining all that much? I really think I need to commit to the jp90 again and follow a 3 on 1 off and see how far that takes me? or maybe my newbie gaisn have been used up? not sure........

    DEFINITELY keep a journal log on here! You have no choice now, set up your log or else haha. Write in it EVEN when you have rest days, put in "rest day", or whatever just to keep yourself on track and honest.

      hahaha yeah its probably a much smarter idea!!! I kept the journal so I could refer to gaining stages of my PE journey, and well....... I gained a bit but, I didn't train consistently. So I guess the journal did what I needed and showed me that I was not committed enough.

      what do you think about more possible newbie gains? alongside a strict jp90 with a few minor additions to see it through? I want to start a 3 on 1 off routine and follow that with more intensity every month after, and add exercises until I think I have hit a plateau.

        I personally would just do the JP90 routine at first to see how your dick reacts to it, do it in a strict schedule though, no dicking about this time! If you want the gains, you have to put in the work, full stop! Keep your log, write in it every damn day, even if it just rest day, keep going on the forum, I found being on here made me keep my routine in check, looking at everyone else sticking to their routines it guilted me into doing mine. Look at the success stories, read people's progress logs, you have to think PE constantly for a few weeks to ensure you stick to your routine and then after that it just becomes a force of habit and doing your routine on the days you are supposed to becomes as natural as going to work or having your cereal.

          Have you gained any weight? That would explain the lack of increase in NBPEL even with an increase in BPEL.

            yeah I did. I was training last year and had a really clean diet as well. but this year I haven't trained once yet, and im still carrying holiday weight and diet habits.

            and the only areas I store fat on are my stomach really, so it probably has affected my nbpel, but its still annoying!!

            you had any gains yet OnMyWay? I don't know how to "tag" anyone so I don't know if you will see this

              You have to stay committed if you expect to see any gains. You only get out of it what you put in to it. Taking breaks once in a while is a good thing but the rest of the time needs to be consistent. I wasted lots of time not being consistent and that's all it ended being in the end, wasted time. I would have been better off spending my time doing other things if I wasn't going to stay committed. Time is a precious commodity and should be well spent. Once I got my act together, the gains started coming. My whole story is in my signature if you care to see.

                yeah I will, thanks for that mate! Im just going to do it then, ill get regimental about it and get it done!!

                so you had a similar phase then? did you got through a few scattered attempts at it only to see little results?

                  I don't think it's possible to tag, but I'm automatically subscribed to threads I comment in so I normally see things. I believe that I have seen gains, but the numbers aren't very clear on my only ruler and it's scared of the ruler so I'm waiting to make definite measurements.

                  Yeah, the increase in stomach fat is definitely the reason that NBPEL hasn't increased. Like L4M said, commitment and consistency are both extremely important when it comes to gains, although as BPEL measures gain from PE'ing and NBPEL depends on both BPEL and fat, lack of consistency is not why BPEL increased but NBPEL did not.
