Masturbation and Sex – Good or Bad for Penis Enlargement?

Two to three times a week is good for your health!
A real man never hurts a woman. The woman came out of a man’s rib, not from his feet to be walked on, and not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved. - Mrs. workin_4_it

Two to three times a week is good for your health? Gosh I'm lucky if I get it two to three times a year!

I think MrB8's advice is good. I edge almost every day (certainly 5 times a week on average easily), but I ejaculate only 3 to 4 times a week. A lot of PE exercises require an erection or 70%-erection, etc. I'm in my late 40's, so not having an orgasm every day helps me maintain an overall good libido for both sexual activity and the "mechanics" of some of the PE-related activities too.

So what's the deal with "blue balls" ?

Is it a just a term, or is it something which happens due to lack of ejaculations? If it is not just a term, it doesn't sound good for the testicles. Painfull is what it sounds like.

I can imagine a lot of blue balls going on if you edge etc, without shooting it.

          thanks
I have had blue balls. It's quite uncomfortable, but it happens to me very infrequently. Different men have different tolerances for going in a prolonged aroused state without ejaculating. Some never get blue balls. I suppose that if you are quite young (late teens early 20s) and have gone several days without an orgasm and then you masturbate for a couple of hours without orgasm (especially if you are fantasizing actively and very turned on) you could get the backup that causes the condition, but if it happens, just finish yourself off (a couple of times if you feel that much need) and then next time don't go quite as long between days/ejaculations. If you have blue balls and you're ejaculating specifically to relieve that pressure, the orgasm can be more "utilitarian" in nature than "erotic." But, (in my experience) it will fix the problem.

I don't feel it's a big deal. The fact that it COULD happen does not deter me from edging. It doesn't hurt like a kick in the nuts. It's not going to make you feel nausea, for example. It just aches.

            foffer,

Great question! I used to get blueballs quiet often when put into a very sexual situation with a girl and wasn't fortunate to finish for whatever reason. I had anxiety about it actually when I started edging because for me blue balls causes pain for hours... no matter what I do. I have still have yet to run into this problem since edging and I hope the same goes for you.

Hmm I read it somewhere in the forum. For example, if you don't ejaculate for 3 days and if on the 3th day you start having wet dreams. Then you probably have to ejaculate every 3 days.
Its something like that but that's just a guideline.
              Starting 2014: BPEL 4.75" MEG 4.5"
              2016: BPEL 5.875" MEG 4.55"
              2017: BPEL 6.375" MEG 4.55"
              2018: No gains
              Q2 2019: No gains
              Q1 2020: BPEL 6.40" MEG 5"

              Goals:
              BPEL: 7"
              MEG: 5"

I'm 45 years old, and at this point in my life I find that if I go more than 3-4 days without an orgasm my libido actually starts to drop, which has a negative impact on getting aroused to do my PE routine. So I need to orgasm at least 2 - 3 times per week.

I've gone weeks without an orgasm in the past and found myself losing interest in sex or masturbation and having little morning wood. (Note - I've had my testosterone tested and it is in the normal range)
                (Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG
                (Early 2001): 7" BPEL x 5.75"MSEG (mostly Hanging/Jelqing)
                Aug 16th 2015: 7.375" BPEL x 6" MSEG
Goal: I have retired from PE - So my goal is just maintaining.

Just like any other bodily process, the muscles and organs associated with ejaculation can be trained so that you function optimally. As stated above, 2-3 times per week is normally considered optimal for beginners and for maintenance.

With time and conditioning you can train yourself to tolerate and even thrive on ejaculating more frequently. This should be accomplish through sexual activity- as opposed to masturbation and even stamina exercises. I say this because, though stamina exercises come a fairly close second to sexual activity for conditioning the penis and certain organs, it cannot quite duplicate the other effects of sexual activity- such as aerobic and muscular conditioning.

Even exercises like hip thrusts and running might get you in better shape for it, but again, the sexual experience itself is the best way to train to become better at sex.

Then there's the sensory experience. Even visualizations can't fully replace the emotional and sensual feel of a live sexual experience- though they can go a long way towards preparing you for the experience.

If you've ever been in a vigorous sexual encounter lasting a long period of time you can attest to the above.
