  • New to PE

I'm starting PE back up again for good after having first experienced it back in 2011. Over the years I have done a total of maybe two months of jelquing. I would quit because I would think to myself this isn't for me - it's for losers with low self-esteem. Now, I'm so glad there's such a thing and am extremely grateful for this website and its users. (Really, such a supportive community). My question is that I know in the beginning I will need to do some experimenting but what is the best way to start off? 50 strokes 5 seconds each? 100 strokes 3 seconds each? Gradually increase to 400? Stay at 50? Jelq for 2 days 1 off? 5 days 1 off? I know there's a getting started section and a 90 day routine for beginners. I'll check that out - maybe that's my best bet. But I thought I would ask. Thanks in advance.

      Hey vishaalp!

      Welcome back to the Gym.

As Kick advised, it is always best to RFM - read the fucking manual.

Pick one of the manual beginner routines and follow it for at least 90 days to condition your penis, or until you stop gaining. Start slow, and build up to the full routine over a few weeks time, jelq with an erection level between 45% and 65% using a moderate grip, just enough to move blood up the shaft and to the glans. Grip your penis below the glans when stretching and do not pull too hard, just enough to feel tension on your shaft

Be consistent and make sure to log your progress. If you measure, do it the same way every time. If you are standing, stand against the wall and stand every time you do it. Or, if you sit, make sure you are sitting every time. Patience is required. Don't get discouraged if you don't see any progress for a while.

For jelqing counting it is very tedious (especially when its 100+), it may help and be more encouraging to just set a timer when you become more advanced at it. Though I would suggest counting if you are doing anything less than 100. Then for stroke time just make sure not to make them too fast because that will probably more easily result in an injury. I feel basically anything 2 seconds or over will prevent that, but go for just anywhere between 3-5 seconds per stroke, not only for safety, but probably for better results as well I'd assume.
Gains so far: +2 BPEL and +1.2 EG !

You got good advices already in this thread. I would recommend you to start with JP90, this is a really good routine. The first couple of weeks you can do less than it suggest. That way your penis will adapt to the force you use and you will find out how to do the exercises right. And be careful when you start.
