  • Beginner Experiencing a Problem

    Hello. I started the beginner routine just a few days ago. All seems good so far, but I have had this issue that I was having even before I joined here and began PE. I am 22 years old and healthy.

    My issue is that I often watch porn and begin to masturbate. I find a good video, get an erection, but it isnt amazingly hard. Then, after a minute or so I lose the erection and the will to masturbate so I end up just stopping. Every so often I get really into the video, or I just keep pushing it until I finish, but often I just give up and stop. Side note: I was dating a girl a while back and I had issues getting hard occasionally with her too. It was like I had a half chub and the sex was not nearly as good. Some days it worked fine, bu tothers not.

    Anyone ever experience anything like this? Any advice?

    In addition, I have been doing kegels, but I feel like now I keep subconsciously doing them throughout the day, and even when I was masturbating which may be causing an issue.

      Watching too much porn is the problem. There are many guys with porn addiction that are exepirencing the same problems you are having. You need to stop the porn.

        Hey Dirk!

        Welcome to the Gym.

        I recommend you click on and read the Start button at top left of page Lots of good information on what the Gym is all about, including best practices and safety tips.

        Jelqing and kegels are a great way to improve EQ.

        Pick one of the beginner routines and continue with it for 90 days or until you stop gaining. Start slow, and build up to the full routine over a few weeks time, jelq with an erection level between 45% and 65% using a moderate grip, just enough to move blood up the shaft and to the glans. Grip your penis below the glans when stretching and do not pull too hard, just enough to feel tension on your shaft.

        Pay attention to your PIs, your penis is trying to tell you if you are over working, or you are in the growth zone, aim for positive PIs, and steer away from the negative ones

        Don't forget to take good beginning measurements and photos so you have a solid base line to compare your future gains to

          Sounds like ED. Could be porn related, psychological, or physical low T. I would advise getting blood work just to be sure. In the meantime give up the porn.
