  • Beginner with 4.1" girth -- any tips?

    Hey guys, first post here.

    I read about PE for a few weeks before I finally got started.

    The main reason I've decided to start jelqing is because I'm not completely satisfied with my shaft girth circumference of 4.1". While I'm at it, I wouldn't complain about adding some length as well (right now just shy of 6"), but that's definitely not nearly as much of a priority.

    I'm familiar with the JP90 routine. The one I've been doing however is the PESG one here. He seemed to get some excellent girth gains, so I'm trying to emulate his practice.

    I'm about 2 weeks in so far. I've essentially done 2 days on, one off, where I warm up for 10 minutes with a rice sock, then wet jelq for 4-5 second repetitions for 10 minutes. I've also been edging without release immediately afterwards for 10 minutes as well.

    I haven't measured since I started yet. I feel my EQ has improved slightly, and if there have been any flaccid/erect gains they've been minor so far, but I'm aware it could take a few months to really get going.

    I'm making sure to not jelq above 70-80% erection to prevent injury.

    Do you guys have any tips for me, considering I'm starting off with a very narrow girth? Of course I have some ambitious goals in mind but for now, I'd absolutely *love* it if I could get to at least 5".

    Anyone else start ~4" girth? From what I've seen most guys start above 4.5".

    Hey Iwant!

    Welcome to the Gym.

    I recommend you click on and read the Start button at top left of page Lots of good information on what the Gym is all about, including best practices and safety tips.

    Continue with your routine for 90 days or until you stop gaining. Start slow, and build up to the full routine over a few weeks time. Jelq with an erection level between 45% and 65% using a moderate grip, just enough to move blood up the shaft and to the glans.

    After 90 days you should look into pumping. I have gained over an inch thanks to pumping. Lots of information in the Pumping sub forum in the Devices Forum.


    Pay attention to your PIs, your penis is trying to tell you if you are over working, or you are in the growth zone.Aim for positive PIs, and steer away from the negative ones.

    Don't forget to take good beginning measurements and photos so you have a solid base line to compare your future gains to

          I have no specific suggestions. Just be consistent for 90 days then measure. If you grew, keep going, if not add more intensity. Just listen to your dick. If you are sore or have poor EQ, take a rest. You should feel a dull soreness after your workout but that should go away after a few hours. Also, keep adding more jelqs and stretches every few weeks until your dick says no more. Thats how you find your wall. Dick says no more so you back off a little and that is your optimal training intensity.

          Current 1.19.16 - 7.85bpel, 6.6nbpel, 5.3meg

          Goal 1.19.17 - 8.5bpel, 7.5nbpel, 5.75meg

              im 4.5 in the center and 4.25 at the base. When I first started I over trained and I gained 4.5 base for a week, but at the cost of no more morning erections, and slight numbness in my glans. I had to quit for a couple of months, and lost all my gains.

              I am starting over recently and only doing newb routines, and my girth is slowly showing gains just after 1 week of doing 2 days on and 1 day off. I am hoping to reach 4.5 soon and cement it, that alone would make me happy, I am not expecting huge gains, I just want average girth. I dont even care about length, but if it happens it happens.

              I am 5 inch long, and right after jelqing I look a bit longer, but it always goes away the next day, maybe it is my potential length if I continue. I am doing very slow jelqs after a 10 minute warm up of light stretches in every direction. I used to do kegels and ulis but I am going to stop both, because I think I over kegel'd and ulis always make me a bit sore.

              I am going to do pure newb jelqing for a month, will report back if I get gains.

                  Welcome welcome! Be safe, be consistent, and happy PEing!

                  I started out well under 5" girth and am comfortably in the 5.25"-5.75"(MEG-BEG) so you can definitely add some girth if you are dedicated, patient, and stay safe. Don't overdo it and watch for negative PIs, there can be too much of a good thing.
                  Initial(9-1-11): BPEL: 7.25", BPSFL: 7.75", EG: 4.75", BEG: 5.25", BPFL: ~5.0", FG: ~4.0"

                    Awesome feedback, thanks guys.

                    I toned my volume down a bit because as I started to increase intensity and improve my jelqing technique, soreness started to increase and I started seeing some negative PI's.

                    I'm now doing one day on, one off (as opposed to 2 on, 1 off like before), and have been at it for a couple of weeks now.

                    Should I keep at it like this, at the very least until I'm 3 months in? It seems like the perfect amount of volume I can handle right now, and I'm slowly increasing my grip (very slowly) and improving the quality of my jelqs. No negative PI's whatsoever lately.

                    Also, I've noticed a slight, but noticeable increase in my flaccid size throughout most of the day. It also seems I'm more vascular too (especially erect). EQ has gone up. I'm just over a month in now, though I can't see a different in erect girth or length.

                    Am I on the right track?

                      After reading your last post it seems like your on the right track. I always did 1 on/1 day off while jelqing, and got good gains from it. Adding 20 seconds to your jelqing routine each week, might be an idea but it all depends on the PIs you get.

                        So, for longer than a year you continued to get results from jelqing just for an average of 3 days a week?

                        Based on my research, many guys say you should up the volume as quick as you can (once you're conditioned after 3 months). Other guys say less is more and value rest much more than usual.

                        Maybe there's a balance in between that's ideal?

                          Its whatever works and you nees to experiment since everyone is different. I usually do 5 days a week. Sometimes 5 in a row. Sometimes 2 on, 1 off. Just depends on my schedule and PIs. I would start with 1 on 1 off. If your dick can handle it, you can do 2 on 1off, or 5 on 2 off or whatever floats your boat. As long as you stay consistent and keep adding workload, you should see gains.

                            No for 5-6 months, then I started big als jelq free routine.
                            I know, I am the more is less guy. Maxing out your gains with less, and increase the volume if you stop gaining.
