    Hallo

I am a 35 year old male from Greece who suffers from severe erectile dysfunction. I have done blood tests and doppler ultrasound and they all came back clear. Doctors here in Greece suggest that it is psychogenic in nature but I am sure it is not because i can't achieve full erections in all times (even during masturbation) and have absolutely no sensation in my penis. I can ejaculate with tremendous difficulty and even then I don't feel much...I am in this condition for one year and a half now. The last doctor I visited said it might be something micro-arterial that cannot be shown on the ultrasound. I have tried pills with no success, shock wave treatment with no success and injections that were horrible as they caused me enormous pain. I also have to add that my penis has shrunk for some reason and has lost length and girth both in flaccid and erect state so I doubt this whole thing is psychological.

Do you get night-time or morning erections?

Also, can you post the results from your blood test?
    The name's Tamora...TVR Tamora...with a capital "T".

Lots of living to do yet unseen and a more stories yet untold!

      Did you get seriously overweight?

What about if a woman gives you oral, will it get hard?

No morning or night-time erections. This whole thing started suddenly when I had sex with my girlfriend and developed very quickly (in a 3 month period) into full blown ED and complete loss of sensation! I just do not get it...My blood tests are perfect (don't have them with me right now) but no diabetes, no cholesterol, very high testosterone levels etc. It just happened out of nowhere...I have done three doppler tests and they were fine (normal blood flow, no venous leak). The only problem I can think of is that I was a heavy smoker for 15 years and a heavy stoner for four years but even this doesn't make sense because doctors say I have arteries clean as a diamond. And the worst part is that pills stopped working after 5 months and even when they worked I had zero sensation so they were useless. Can this be psychogenic? I can't even masturbate, I feel nothing.

          Hmm, an odd case indeed.

What sticks out to me is you said this developed and worsened gradually over a 3 month period of time. My guess would have been lack of blood flow but the Doppler disputes this.

My only other guess would be an injury that occurred, not to your penis but to a surrounding muscle group during sex. Did you feel anything like this? I remember reading something where a member was suffering ED due to a herniated disc in the back. Muscles can block nerves leading to the penis. How is your overall health? Heart health(cardio) muscle health(excercise and flexibility)?

Zaratustra, welcome to PEGym. Thanks for being transparent and being willing to share this problem with us here.
One thing that seems very significant is your loss of sensation. One of the things that comes to mind is diabetic disease, but that has been ruled out according to your post.
Diabetic disease causes nerve damage because of loss of circulation, but other things can cause similar damage such as arterial disease. But once again it sounds like you have been told that your blood supply is alright.
In doing some research (which you may have done already) your loss of sensation could be coming from back conditions that damage (by compression) nerves that supply sensation to your perineum and penis.
If you truly have loss of sensation, that means this is almost certainly not psychogenic.
I would suggest seeing a nerve specialist (neurologist) and see if you can determine why you have nerve loss in this area.
I hope that helps you some and I wish you well...and hopefully a full recovery.

Well, my overall health is great and I used to workout everyday so I have good muscle health. And no, I did not have any injury...It was like a switch was turning off each time I had sex and I was losing both my erection and sensation at the same time. Very odd indeed. I too suspect it is a blood flow issue but the doppler is ok. And even this can't explain the complete loss of sensation in a second. I remember last time I was having sex and everything was normal and suddenly it happened again for the last time. I was LITERALLY fine in the morning and impotent the same night and ever since, believe it or not.

I have to add that when I say loss of sensation I mean loss of PLEASURABLE sensation, not sensation generally. I can feel heat, cold etc. i just can't feel pleasure.

zaratustra, thanks for the clarification. That makes a huge difference. If you have otherwise normal sensation, that brings this right back into the area of a psychogenic disorder. So how does that compare with something that is organic.../
Well nerve damage can sometimes be treated, but often there is a more serious underlying cause of the nerve compression...anything from changes in the spine or even things like tumors. Since your sensation is essentially normal except for the pleasure associated with sexual stimulation, finding the psychological cause or trigger might be a challenge...BUT...once it is discovered and hopefully successfully treated, you should be as good as new.
There are psychologists who specialize in sex therapy and might be a good starting point for you to seek a resolution of your problem.
Once again, I wish you a speedy and complete recovery.

Thanks for the answer getinbig, I myself actually wish this is psychogenic but it doesn't feel like this...I haven't had not even one spontaneous erection in 2 years, now that seems somehow serious and organic. Hope I am wrong thou.

I'd keep seeking professional help like others have suggested. Sounds like it could be psychosomatic. Hopefully it's not something too bad.

Hi Zaratustra, Is that a made up name as I to live in Greece, never heard that one before, unless it your surname?

So two years ago what happened, did some women put you sex act down, as this sounds to much like performance anxiety, and over a two year period it gets worst and will keep getting that way.

Now your in the right place to overcome your penal problem with size, but what's upstairs need the help of psychiatrist who works in sexual matters like performance anxiety, I know of one but she's along way away from Greece.

So just where are you then? I'm on the Peloponnese about 45 minutes from kalamata. OK

Hallo NOWHARD zaratustra is my username of course, not my real name. I myself am from Crete. I don't believe that I have performance anxiety to be honest, I am very experienced and relaxed in sexual situations (I even had a call girl for girlfriend once lol) so I don't panic easily. I have already been to a psychiatrist-sexologist who told me that I might have bipolar disorder because of a psychotic episode I had when I smoked cannabis but I never had problems with my dick before. Can performance anxiety be so strong that can lead you to complete impotence? I just don't believe it.

Yes, it can. But that doesn't mean that's the problem. Just a possibility. Anxiety doesn't have to manifest itself in the bedroom. I had something similar happen to me a few months ago after I was sick for a week and super stressed about some things and I could not for the life of me get myself to ejaculate. This went on for a month. It started to become a psychological hangup because I lost confidence in the ability to ejaculate, which made it even worse and became more and more frustrating. It's like my brain-penis connection was severed and it forgot how to work together. So the mind is a very powerful thing that can definitely cause issues.
