I've had venous leak since I was 15 and what "cured" it was testosterone replacement therapy; I had secondary hypogonadism. When testosterone kicks in and hormones are properly balanced (e2 ratio and T), the leak literally goes away and it became possible to have sex without drugs (at times). For some reason, the drugs do not always work , but I figure it's because my ratio is out of place. I have no doubt however that for some, such as me, venous leak was caused by testosterone deficiency. Overall, life has greatly improved since starting testosterone therapy, it only took me half my life to figure it out. No erections from 15-30 without PDE5 drugs, no word of a lie. It was impossible.

I strongly advise all young men who have venous leak to have a full hormone panel checked. If the doctor tells you that you are, "normal" get the paper results and check them against the knowledge online. Normal is not normal with tesosterone.

Its rather appalling to see how many young men are diagnosed with venous leak and resort to drastic measures, such as penis implants, only to find out later that they had hormone problems or prolactinomas.

There are different causes of venous leak, so please, never believe the talk of no cure.
Life struggle with extreme erectile dysfunction since I was 15. Diagnosed with venous leak. When I turned 30-years old, I found out I had hypogonadism (low testosterone) and sub-clinical hypothyroidism. TRT can be a cure for venous leak if you are hypogonadal.

That's interesting. For me, the injections stopped being as effective, and I finally saw a uro who gave me a Doppler which revealed, according to her, a venous leak. But I noticed over the last year, my libido had decreased to the point, I don't have any. So I demanded the doctor also do a blood panel. She said the panel would consist of Checking Testosterone, LH, FSH, E2, and Prolactin. I'm glad you mentioned this. I did the blood test last Friday, so I'm still awaiting the results. Oh, this young female doctor, just happens to perform the transplant, and wouldn't you know that she gave me a video about the procedure. I'm a lot older than you at 61. But, up until 4/5 months ago, the injections were just fine.

well at your age it should be more clear cut, as ageing and primary hypogonadism go hand in hand. do you know the difference? secondary (pituitary issue); primary (testicular issue- common in men your age). if the injections worked for you, that's great and its a very positive sign that you've identified the issue. what was your dosage of testosterone? do you have a high body fat percentage? the hardest part about testosterone therapy seems to be controlling estrogen balance. its even harder because doctors are not well informed, if at all, about hypogonadism and proper endocrinology balances regarding sex hormones.

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't mean testosterone injections. I meant Trimix injections to get a hard-on.

Typically the doc will say test level is normal if it is say 300. A level of 300 will typically cause health issues . Some guys can get away with 400 and some need 500 or more.

Lets have a bet , My bet is this the panel will come back with low test and the doc will say it is normal for your age .
I can also bet if you get your test level over 500 a lot of your issues will go away.

I am wondering now, if it may be a free testosterone issue. I'm at wits end. I am almost to the point of going through with an implant. The uro who did the blood test and doppler test, does perform implants. I guess my venous leak is pretty severe. She told me the blood going in to out ratio was about 35%.

Ok well if you are 40y plus that test level should ok and it is typical at 50 plus . Well free test might be an issue but it is hard to test accurately .

I take it you have done all the natural stuff the general and pelvic floor exercises you know kegels ,reverse kegels , massage forms , stretches , squats of various types eg overhead squat to strengthen the pelvic floor . Of course the direct pe training jelq , edging and the like.

I see the prolactin is high and I would get a second opinion on that .

yeah Pegasus, I'm an old bastard, 61. Maybe I just have to accept the fact it just could be age catching up with me. No, I haven't exercised consistently. Started jelqing a little in shower, and did the kegels for like a week, and thought, what the heck are these going to do for me. I need to start doing squats again.
