  • 21 year old male - Porn Induced Erectile Dysfunction/Premature Ejaculation?

    Hey guys!

    I'm yet another optimistic newbie to the beautiful PEGYM community - with a slight issue that I would love some experienced opinions on.

    As the title of this thread suggests, I'm a 21 year old, 6ft 5", lean male. Since a young age I gravitated to pornography, starting with a nude magazine to now HD hardcore pornography. All my life I would masturbate (without lube) sometimes a couple times a day, sometimes up to 5-6.

    The issues I face now as young man coming into a lot of years of awesome sexual experiences, I struggle to get a strong 100% erection (let alone maintain it)... During intercourse, regardless how good looking the girl is, I will be hard for a bit, have the urge to cum early on, fight that to keep going and then after 5minutes or so have to kegel or something otherwise I go soft.

    Doing some light research into Porn Induced Erectile Dysfunction I believe I may have fallen a victim. I think it would make sense as my average session would be quite quick when watching porn and I would masturbate very fast (faster than it would be possible to reach during sex) in order to reach an orgasm.

    I have recognized that I have an issue and decided to stop watching porn all together (that lasted a month).

    **NOTE I have been to two different doctors and they have both just said the problem must be psychological due to my age and gave me a few Viagra's.

    I plan to stop watching porn and masturbating all together but just have some questions for the community:

    1) How can I desensitize myself so I can feel more aroused during sex?
    2) How can I get my penis hard and stay hard for a whole session of sex without having the worry of going soft?
    3) How often should I ejaculate and how should I go about this?

    1) How can I desensitize myself so I can feel more aroused during sex?
    Did you intend to say make yourself more sensitive ?

      Yes that's correct! But at the same time also desensitise my mind so I am psychologically 100% into it too

        Time is key here, porn can have a lingering effect on your brain depending on how deep you were involved with it. As far as ejaculation, if you were a heavy ejaculator(i.e once a day average for years with porn) I would abstain for a few weeks if not a month to help with a reset.

        Getting your mind where it should be is the hard part. You have to practice good mental habits when with a female and also when masturbating. It will all come in time.

            What is wrong with doctors? They just give you a few viagra and send you on your way?

            Start an edging routine and research the stickies in this forum and the premature ejaculation forum to learn how to balance your pelvic floor.

                That is the approach I'm taking for now. Just absence from porn etc completely to reset my brain. So far it has been easy (it has only been 4 days but progress nonetheless!)

                  No examination or anything just completely disregarded any potential physical problems (which is probably true) and just labled it a psycologial issue, gave me a few Viagra's and said "once you have had a normal erection without having to think about it the problem should go away" pfft...

                  Thanks for the advice. I'm going to avoid masturbating for a while (at least a couple of weeks) until I start retraining my brain and introducing edging into my exercises.

                    What would you suggest I do Big AL as I've just finished day 4 of JP90's Beginner Routine and am finding some traction with these exercises. I do want to keep going and finish the full 90 days at least.

                    Should I start the "Stamina Only" routine after these 90 days or add it into my current schedule?

                      "I plan to stop watching porn and masturbating all together"-stop porn,don`t stop masturbation,simply reduce the ejaculation for 2-3 times a week(not more) but keep masturbating(edging).I think that big part of your problems are because you ejaculate too often and you use rushed masturbation.At least I am judging on me.I had it all-rushed masturbation,ejaculation 3-4 times a day,watching porn since I was 9-10 years old.I can tell you that rushed masturbation and ejaculation too often are bigger problems for EQ then porn.

                      Should I start the "Stamina Only" routine after these 90 days or add it into my current schedule?"- I think you just need to do both- PE exercises (JP90) and stamina work all together (stamina is helping the effect of PE exercises).After this 3 months you can continue with JP90 or add other more advanced routine or throw some device into your PE routine.Just keep PE and stamina in the same time I don`t think you need to do one over the other.

                        A few weeks of "stamina only" won't set you back- on the contrary; by being able to focus solely on EQ you'll accelerate gains made in that area. You;'ll also be able to note a difference when you restart the JP90.
