Hi all,
Up until about a year ago my erection strength was fine. I have had PE all my life and a lot of involuntary kegels. I don't know if I'm allowed describe it but an OTC product helped me manage it. This was not a perfect solution but for me it improved my love life a lot. Basically for the past 3-4 years, I had good erections and sex was pleasurable.
From the end of last year however, I mostly quit dating for a few months. I was a little worn down and mentally disappointed about not feeling anything serious for the women I met. Unrelated to this, I experimented a little with rubbing a cloth across my glans for a few minutes, to try and decrease sensitivity. This seemed to work as I could last a lot longer masturbating. The underside of my glans became less sensitive and it seemed to focus on the top. During this time, I also worked a lot and had little exercise. I noticed that morning wood frequency and hardness declined, but figured it was mostly mental and because of lack of sleep and would sort itself out once I slept a bit more. Especially lying on my back the EQ was poor. Another change was that my bladder didn't empty completely and I had some annoying urine leakage when I sat down sometimes. Smegm production was also lower than before. I also gained a few kg's of fat (BMI still around 25, used to be 24/24.5
Recently I met a woman who excited me sexually. I though this would give me new energy. However my erections remained 70-80% of what they used to be. Combined with the OTC numbing product I used before, I couldn't sustain my erection. The second time we had sex, I tried it naturally, EQ was better but nowhere near great and unfortunately my PE was back.
I felt lethargic during this time and my libido was low (enough to have sex but it used to be a lot higher) so had my test levels checked, actually slightly above average for my age (I'm 35). I started exercising more (squats, dips, pullups, running), working less, sleeping more, went on the 5 Gs and got a mild test booster as an extra weapon.
Exercising and sleeping more for the past 3 months has improved my mood. 5G's didn't seem to do much beside making me slightly more alert. I have more muscle mass and strength (although the extra few kgs of belly fat are still there). Unfortunately, my penis still seems to be lagging behind. I still especially have trouble keeping it up when I'm lying on my back, although better than 3 months ago. Libido is up a bit but still a lot lower than 'normal' in the summer.
I will get a soft erection in the morning sometimes again. If i masturbate, I will often ejaculate before ever getting rock hard. My recovery time on the other hand has improved since exercising more. I can often get a new erection within a few minutes. What does it mean when your EQ is poor/mediocre but your recovery time is fine, blood circulation-wise?
My bladder empties more completely than 2 months ago, but still not as completely as say, 2 years ago. Could this be some problem in the prostate area? Squats seem to have a positive effect.
It feels like my EQ has decreased disproportionately for just a few months of living a sedentary and somewhat unhealthy life. Should I get tested for venous leak now that EQ is only increasing very slowly after 2-3 months of exercise, sleep, 5Gs ... or should I just be more patient and am I underestimating the long term effects of being sedentary and lack of sleep?
TL;DR
- worked a lot, exercised less, low energy
- over the course of months, less/no morning wood with poor EQ if at all
- very noticeable when lying on back
- bladder not emptying completely + dripping, prostate issue?
- went from lots of inv kegels to none and numbness on underside of glans, possibly b/c of moderate rubbing with cloth but seems impossible?
- more exercise+sleep now for 2-3 months, body and mind better but EQ still quite poor compared to 1 year ago. Continue and be patient or some other medical issue to take into account, venous leak possible?
