  • Desperate for Help

    Hey Guys,
So I'm a 26 y/o white male, 6 ft, 320 lbs, and I've been struggling with Erectile Dysfunction for about 5 years.I do have a history of Depression that started in my early 20's so I've always been on antidepressants which obviously can affect your sexual drive and ability to achieve orgasm. No other medical history or previous family history. A few years ago I started seeing my Urologist for help, we tried Cialis and Viagra at maximum dosages but they had little to no effect. My Urologist collected bloodwork to look my hormone levels including Luteinizing hormone, Prolactin, Follicle stimulating hormone, Testosterone-Total and Free, sex hormone binding globulin, and Estradiol... all of which were normal. He thinks that my antidepressants could play a role here but he is hesitant to change my current meds as I've had bad reactions of most other antidepressants. He is unsure of what the next step is for me and while I realize that I do not fit the mold of the average guy with ED, I am desperate for help and I'm just trying to figure out what's going on with me. If any one has any advice or recommendation I would greatly appreciate it- Feel free to comment below or message me privately.

Have you seen a psychiatrist? Now are you sure you know what I mean between organic and social? I just want t be sure.

Yeah, I see my psychiatrist once a month for medication management, I additionally see a therapy weekly to work on issues that affect my depression.

Great that will help you out more than the meds. Make sure that YOU know that you have a good rapport with those two. Even with organic depression the goal of the therapy is to either get you off the meds or very low dosages. If you don't feel they are helping you achieve that goal look for another.
