International Journal of Impotence Research - The relationship of serum and salivary cortisol levels to male sexual dysfunction as measured by the International Index of Erectile Function
The active forms of cortisol (Bio-F and Sa-F) showed negative correlations with sexual function in men, although there was no such correlation for testosterone. ED is thought to occur in patients with high levels of cortisol because of the relations between cortisol and stress. Cortisol may thus become a useful index for the evaluation of sexual function.

DHEA Treatment for Sexual Dysfunction | ENCOGNITIVE.COM
Aging naturally creates a DHEA/cortisol imbalance. DHEA declines with age as cortisol increases, and the result is not positive. DHEA was the only hormone of 17 tested that improved erectile dysfunction.

An increased CORTISOL to DHEA ratio or exhausted adrenal glands can cause many health problems, as well as erectile dysfunction and a loss of sex drive. The body prioritises the production of stress hormones over sex hormones because survival is more important than sex! Oh, and cortisol also blocks the response of the testes to LH, i.e. they don’t listen to the hormone telling them to release testosterone.

    Switch from coffee to tea.
a single cup of coffee raises cortisol levels for 12 to 14 hours. Cortisol, a hormone pumped out by the body at times of stress, is necessary for survival, but when cortisol levels are chronically elevated, you're asking for all sorts of trouble

    Naturally Yours
Three cups of coffee will keep elevated cortisol levels in your body for 18 hours. If you take your coffee with sugar, there is a 200% increase!
    How to Reduce Excess Cortisol
    Reduce stress
    Eliminate caffeine
    Minimize sugar consumption
    Increase vitamin C uptake
Resistance weight training to increase Hgh

    Reducing High Cortisol Levels
Black tea decreases Cortisol induced from stress. This theory has been confirmed by the University College of London. 50 minutes after drinking black tea Cortisol level decreased 47%. In case of chronic stress, there will be sooner or later shortage of vitamins C, B1, B2, B6 and B12. I recommend a good vitamin-B-complex 50 and vitamin C

Cortisol is the stress hormone.Let's try to relieve the stress. It is better for you to relieve the stress than to take a supplement to try and reduce it.Did someone say rum? Okay stress release time!

Cortisol is another pill for weight loss, i never thought it could also reduce stress. I take one tablet per day, but many says, it's necessary to take 2 capsule per day orally. Can you please tell me, what is the proper Cortisol dosage?

You shouldn't be taking it at all.Your body makes enough of it and when you're stressed it makes way too much.Get rid of it!

            Exercise
Studies on exercise have shown that it reduces the chances of impotence. However, you want to be careful because not all exercise is beneficial.Aerobic exercise lasting longer than 20min causes the adrenal glands to secretecortisol. This is completely counter-productive if the body is already stressed. Inthis case, the exercise will simply be another stress that the body has to endure. And the Impotence Camel’s back will have more chance of breaking. So eventhough the exercise may feel like it’s a good stress release at the time, itprobably isn’t. Also remember that exercise in the evenings can be especiallydetrimental.Males who do extreme amounts of exercise, such as professional soccer playersand runners who cover more than 40 miles a week, have less LHRH, LH andtestosterone, smaller testes and less functional sperm. They also have higherlevels of cortisol in their bloodstream even in the absence of stress. It is much better to have an exercise programme that helps to stimulate therelease of human growth hormone (HGH), which is the antagonist to cortisol.Weight training and exercises that encourage parasympathetic nervous activity(Tai Chi, for example) are recommended. Walking outdoors in the sunlight for anhour a day is also good practice, especially in the UK where the level of sunlightis relatively low. Getting sunlight helps to keep the hormones balanced. In human history, the only time you’d be running more than a couple of miles aday would have been if you were really intent on eating someone, or someonewas intent on eating you. No other animals ‘do endurance exercise’!Therefore if you want to get it up, cut down on the aerobic exercise and lift someweights (please ensure that you are guided professionally – exercise can be very
beneficial but it can also do harm).

The article says aerobic exercise can increase cortisol and ED. They recommend weight training for reduced cortisol. Here is another article with a similar story, but based on testosterone:

                Aerobics, Testosterone and Older Men

"Several studies show that those who regularly exercise have more testosterone than sedentary men—but that means weight-training exercise. Aerobic exercise tends to lower men’s testosterone, especially when accompanied by a lowfat diet."

Umm, actually that study showed no change in a group of 40 to 75y olds that did moderate to vigerous aerobic exercise 6 times a week at 60 min a time far more than most guys would attempt. While I have no doubt, that extreame aerobic exercise can lower test, I doubt that many will approach the amount required.
Weights can increase test but then it can increase coritosol too . Is there guidelines on the sort of weights that has the best test to cortisol ratio?

This guy seems to have taken a study on pro soccer players (which he doesn't name) and applied it to aeribic exercise in general. Now might I suggest that pro soccer players get more aerobic exercise than most of us will attempt.

Another Cortisol regulator is a herb called "holy basil". I take one to 3 caps a day for anxiety, and it works really really well, I am prescribed valium and I only take it for severe attacks (mainly because of the addictive nature of it, and it kills me sexually for days)
