  • low testosterone

i finally got into the urologist about my ed and got a call today saying i have low testosterone. i already new i had low thyroid. im 29. after doing some research on the net the outlooks dont look so good. i especially dont care much for a lowered life expectancy and treatsments that are uncertain of long term risks. just wanted to see if anyone else is near this experience or have any knowledge on the issues that could give any advice or info.

How low did he say it is? What number?
To me, there is no shame in PE. It's no different than when guys first began to lift weights/bodybuild and it was a fringe thing. Now it's mainstream.

              Hi mate

At 29 at least you've discovered it early so don't worry too much.

I've found this site if it's any use.

Hey man I'm big in to bodybuilding and weight lifting and from what I've read, you do not want hormone replacement therapy since you'll be on it for ever.
Try a bodybuilding forum or steroid forum. Those guys will know slot about hormones and getting them balanced an at least your can learn and be educated.

My advice is buy some good natural t booster like bioforge or something like that!

I am a lot older than you, 68. I have had low T lab reports (330 - 400) for the past 3 years, at least that is how long I have actually followed the T results. I suspect I have had low T for a long time. I am also diabetic and have suffered increasing ED problems for more than 15 years.

I went to a Uro two months ago and tested at 330. The Uro prescribed Testim 1% gel (T replacement therapy). I have been using it for about 45 days and my T level went up to 880 and my EQ quality is up significantly, However, I still need 25 gr of Viagra (I previously needed 100 gr) to get an erection started, but once I start to get hard, I can usually manage an 8 - 9 erection for penetration. I can also last a lot longer. Note, however, in addition to low T, I also am fighting neuropothy as a consequence of the diabetes. Without the complication of neuropothy, I believe the Testim would provide even better EQ.

Talk to your Uro about the positives and negatives (reduces your natural ability to produce T, but Doc says if you quit, your own T usually returns after a while) of TRT. An alternate treatment would be injections of Trimix. I've heard good reports on Trimix, but I decided to try the gel before trying injections directly into my shaft.

Try franktalk.com, a good forum on ED treatments, though most members are suffering ED due to prostate surgery.

PS: Testim offers a $40 rebate coupon per month for 12 months, which is enough to cover my insurance co-pay.

I'm nine years older than you. I have ED and low testosterone. I have been using T gel a month and a half. I don't really feel any difference except that I respond better to viagra now - like not2big. I will try T injections if my uro allows me.

I'm not old and I have not used steroids. Both my doc and uro can't tell me why I got low test.

                              Damn thats harsh.
I would think natural methods would be usefull for guys at low normal, but perhaps not if you are under the normal range.
