  • Abstinence Period

Hey guys, so just a quick question regarding my abstinence period (3-4 months). The main reason I'm doing this is trying to recover from 15 years of excessive masturbation and porn. During this time frame, wont my testosterone and libido take a steep dive? I know it's healthy to masturbate at least once a week to maintain optimal T levels and libido. I guess I'm afraid I will lose that connection with my penis when I start a healthy masturbation routine after my 3 or 4 months.

I took a 50 day masturbation sabbatical a couple years ago...and honestly it was strange, but I never got random hardons or even that itching feeling like "I have to fuck" or something...it just wasn't there.

I do think its perfectly healthy to focus on masturbation at least 1 time per week, and do so with your mind and feeling the sensations versus anything visual.

The key is to focus on masturbating or getting off either through actual sex with your partner, or self masturbation without the visual aids of pornography (pics or video).

Start focusing on envisioning yourself with a girl..her sucking your dick, or you fucking her..imagine her actually doing stuff to you and seeing if you can feel it..and us that as your motivation, not porn.

    good luck.

hey bulldog.. good advice, im trying to move in that direction myself.. im slowly getting there, but every now and then I get pulled back into the world of porn!

Did you notice any positive effects from your 50 day break from masturbating? were you having sex then? or just no ejaculating?

        Does abstinence help improve EQ?
        CURRENT: 6.75" x 5.5"
        GOAL: 7" x 6"

If you believe it, you can achieve it......

yea, I want to know if this is safe, because I know if we go months without masturbation or ejaculation our t levels will take a sharp dive?

During your periods of abstinence did you at least get erections to get erections? I remember reading a German study showing that just getting an erection helps your level of circulating testosterone to rise. So you should attempt to sexually stimulate yourself often, it wouldn't require you to ejaculate or anything like that.

And supposedly ejaculation may set off a subtle hormonal cycle. Testosterone levels do not drop after ejaculation, and 6 days after has little affect on the levels, but on the 7th day your testosterone supposedly peaks - this was published in a study in Journal of Zhejiang University.
