  • Want to go see a doctor

    Hi,

I want to go seek medical help about my problem. I have erectile dysfunction to the extent that it takes a lot of effort to get erections and I have never had an erection as hard as what I got about one year ago. In addition my penis has become veiny when it was mostly smooth before and while flaccid, it is much more thin and almost feels lifeless. I initially thought it was just a phase or a psychological issue until I recently realized that my testicles have shrunken significantly. I haven't gone to see my doctor about this but now I want to. I'm wondering what kind of doctor I should go to for this and if I need to go see my primary care doctor first. It's just a lot of deductibles/copays that I have to pay for in addition to all the tests that I anticipate having to take...

    Thanks.

Sounds like a hormone issue ,a doc is a good idea.

Go to any and all doctors about this!

Who cares about the cost at the moment. If this is a low T problem or other medical problem this could be your LIFE you are talking about here.

It could even be a brain tumor changing your hormone levels...

...or would you rather have another big screen TV?

Seriously...GO GO GO! If you can get into an endocrinologist and gets some blood tests done first that would be good.

ED has many causes that can be covered by all branches of medical practices, including psychiatrists. ED isn't always as simple as a blood flow issue.

They are the ones that first look at glands and testosterone production. urologist are not concerned with erections or blood test unless there is a prostate or bladder problem or other muscles or surrounding tissues basically they are surgeons.

Endocrinologists are experts in hormones. Hormones can play a role in some types of ED.
