  • 5 G's and Arginine and Pycnogenol

    A little history about me.
48 years old,6' 1" 250 lbs.Low side of pre hypertension and no blood / heart disease
I have been having ED for about 3-4 months due to what I am sure is MB and internet porn, I have no problem with drive / stamina or premature ejaculation and can achieve a 70 % erection and can somewhat maintain it but not every time ( getting better with Arginine and Pycnogenol) I stopped the porn cold turkey and me MBing but my wife does "touch" me during foreplay and she can keep me erect 70% where I cannot anymore.

I have been taking the L-Arginine 2,000 mg and 150 Pycnogenol a day for about 1 1/2 months and want to start on the 5G's also.
I dont get any stomach upset with Arg or Pyco, what do you guys think about adding the 5 G's as far as safe to do all together for what could be short to long term pending on my results.
I am getting better at accepting my problem and my wife of 30 years is not making a issue out of it and encourages me to which I think is helping me mentally to deal and feel better about my sudden down falling she also knows about the internet and my excessive MBing .

I am trying to avoid Cialis or others.

The 4 of the 5 G's are in my multi-vitamin tablet and I have garlic in my food. I was planning to get L-Arginine as well, so from my perspective I wouldn't be worried about it.

    Good luck.

I have just started taking Pycnogenol & I wish I had discovered it earlier.

I am taking a similar dose to the OP & I feel great, more energetic, full flaccid most of the time & my knee pain seems to have gone.

I would recommend this to anyone over 30 I think. Read up on it, there are so many benefits & seemingly no side effects.

          hmm interesting..

Proanthocyanidin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A patented extract of maritime pine bark called Pycnogenol bears 65-75 percent proanthocyanidins (procyanidins).[7] Thus a 100 mg serving would contain 65 to 75 mg of proanthocyanidins (procyanidins).
Proanthocyanidins are the principal vasoactive polyphenols in red wine that are linked to a reduced risk of coronary heart disease and to lower overall mortality.[23]
Pycnogenol have been shown to optimize the production of nitric oxide in the artery walls so as to relax them and allow greater blood flow and reduced pressure.[25] Additionally, this same preparation, Pycnogenol, has been found to normalize platelet adhesion (aggregation) so as to facilitate normal blood flow.[26]

I find L arginine can help a bit but only works for a few days then I have to stop taking it for a few weeks...

horny goat weed seems to help if I take it everyday, starts working after a few weeks.

I stopped taking the Swisse multivitamins because I wasn't happy with saw palmetto being one of the ingredients. I'm taking a regular but quality multivitamin now as well as extra zinc and it seems to be working very well. The above combos though sound like a premium mix.

I wish I could more easily afford these supplements. But it looks like I can ship to Aus from overseas for $76 for 2 x Pycnogenol 100 mg 60 Capsules. Do you think 100mg per day would be okay? Any other good sources?

Grape seed extract, which is also rich in proanthocyanidins, might be a much cheaper alternative to Pycnogenol for me.

One way that GSE assists your cardiovascular system is by helping your arteries relax3 so that blood can flow easier. Through a mechanism of gene transcription4 GSE helps turn on the important enzyme known as nitric oxide synthase, which produces the friendly nitric oxide (eNOS) that is required for the proper relaxed tone of your circulatory system and the smooth regulation of your blood pressure.

                      Hi Vulcan,

What is your dose of Pycnogenol that you are taking? When during the day do you take it? Who is the OP? Great that you are getting results. Thanks very much.
