  • question about ED meds

I'm 56, I was taking prescribed ED med, generic Cialis 20mg up until midway into the first year of Covid.
Due to company restructuring, closing locations, etc. I ended up switching employment and lost my
    medical insurance.
This was not all bad, because losing my medical I was unable to go to multiple doctors and couldn't get
    my Xanax/alprazolam prescription for anxiety.
After the withdrawls which was mainly sleeping 1 or 2 hours a night or not at all and random headaches, I
find that I don't need the anxiety meds and wonder if I ever did.
I also found that my ED is not as bad as it was when taking the Alprazolam, looking back it did seem to get worse
a week or so after starting the anxiety meds.

I still need the ED med and I have tried a few online places, I found ones that were scams and a couple that were
legit and actually shipped the med, however the cost of those were expensive when figuring in the cost of shipping
and the fact that smaller orders which I would need due to limited funds are higher priced per pill.

A friend of mine recently put me in touch with a man he knows and works around seasonally on plant shutdown jobs.
He has the generic Cialis 20mg for $4 no matter if I get 1 or 50, and I pay the small size flat rate priority shipping.
So no price change or what I feel is forced up sale on the other sites.

I have gone back and looked at a few of those sites this past week to compare and there are all kinds of new sites
but most seem to loop back to the same few.
The prices seem low but then I notice that its a 5mg and the forced up sale thing every time, some shipping is as high as $45

I order 5 from him just to see how things went and it is real and shipped priority.
Is $4.00 for 20mg and about $9 shipping fair prices ?

I'm completely out of the loop anymore and only have online info which is normally 70% untrue.
I know the cost of the prescriptions were costly, but the office visit was covered and I could usually find a discount code or something.

Anyway, if any of you guys are taking this type of meds, please give me some info.

    Thanks

    PS.
I'm new here, I read a bunch of the notes on posting, etc. however if I posted this in the wrong section, wasn't supposed to use
brand names, etc. just let me know.
It will take me some time to learn it all.
Its setup kind of like the Dodge Ramcharger forum, but also kind of not

I would like to get some info on it here, thank you for the thread and all the future input! I have got some Male Enhancement kit for me recently, and I would like to get any thoughts on it from you here too. Have you ever tried it? Let me know, please

I think that I found was that when I used generic Cialis, I got back pain. I asked the urologist about this and he said, "yeah… That can happen with lower quality meds." No this wasn't the question you were asking but this is what I found when I used non-generic

Generic for Cialis is Tadalafil. Why don't you go to a regular doctor and ask for a prescription? If your heart is ok, they should prescribe it. If you don't have a regular doctor, walk in clinic is fine too.

The cost of Tadalafil is around $20 for 60 pills. Look at GoodRx and find the best price, then at the pharmacy ask them for a GoodRx price. I use Stop and Shop pharmacy. In your area other pharmacies may have better price for it.

I am 56 like you and I take 5mg daily (cause I don't know when my wife will be in a mood...

It doesn't give me any pain or any issues. Actually I think it helps me snore less and breathe easier. It also dramatically reduced my need to wake up at night to go to a bathroom. Most nights I just sleep through the night.

(Generic medication has identical active substance as the brand one, so there shouldn't be any difference at all, just maybe your placebo or nocebo belief that they are inferior. They are not inferior. I took them both and they work both the same for me, the Cialis and the Tadalafil).

          Thanks for the input guys,
I knew Cialis is Tadalafil, many people don't so I just said generic, it has a brand name as well,
just no point in posting it since it's all the same.

I don't have insurance and my job doesn't offer any I can afford where the deductible isn't un-sanely high.
The Co-vid crumble didn't leave me in an extremely stable financial situation,
but you take the bad with the bad and try to do some good with it.
I did do a walk in twice to get a prescription, I paid the office visit's out of pocket to talk with the doctors.

Both times the different doctors basically said, sure Cialis/Tadalafil sounds about right, we will do some test and
see how everything looks when you come back

I don't have $200-$400 for tests to get a $30 prescription or possibly more test before I get that and still another office visit.
The office visits were over $100 combined plus the days off to go

I'm getting it this way for now until something changes in my finances or insurance I guess.
I've asked around on a few other sites since posting and found the prices are about inline with the online sellers.
And with the cost of the office visits and tests, etc. the prices appear fair.

I haven't had any back pain, but I also break the 20mg in half, I think back pain is seen mostly with the higher 20mg
dosage taken on a regular basis.
I think it happens with sildenafil as well.

I seem to remember reading somewhere the 20mg dose was for a one off or taken about an hour before intimacy is expected
Not for daily use, the smaller dosage is for daily use like the 5mg Alek8x6 mentioned

I too have found that it helps amazing well for the symptoms of BPH or benign prostatic hyperplasia, Sleeping through the night
without urinating 11 times between 12 and 6am is fantastic

100% AGREED. Lower back pain? I think inescapable lower back pain is how I'd explain it. I hate it. There is a DEFINITE DIFFERENCE between generic and non-generic...aside from the insanely different price.

When you buy 100 mg pills, they are usually cheaper per mg. than 20 mg pills. Then buy a a pill cutter for a few bucks and cut them into smaller sizes.

My pharmacy has an RX subscription program. I get a 30 day supply of cialis 5mg for daily use for $9.19 (for prostate health). I also get 100mg viagra - 30 tablets per month for a little over $10. Search around and you might find similar deals.
