  • Advice needed for Erection boost!

I've been suffering with ED for a number of years now. I'm a fit and healthy 40 year old guy that trains regularly in the gym and has a great physique. I've not had sex for over 18 months now simply because I cannot rely on my penis to work when I need it to. I never wake up in the morning with "morning wood" and even when I masturbate I rarely get hard.

This whole situation is confusing the hell out of me. Why is it that sometimes I can achieve great erections (about 10% of the time) while other times I (the majority of the time) my penis stays soft?

I'm currently four weeks into the Hardness Factor program as guided by Dr Lamm. I have achieved some fantastic erections but this has only been about 10% of the time. All I want is to be able to achieve a strong, instantaneous erection with confidence but I'm not sure why I can't. My doctor says that because I can occasionally get strong erections then everything down below is working properly. My testosterone levels are said to be "excellent" so what more can I do?

Has anyone got any ideas or advice for me? I refuse to give up on this but I would like a solution sooner rather than later. Thanks!

An instantaneous erection when you're 40? I don't really think that occurs. What type of exercises are you doing?

Perhaps not! My concern is that I don't get erections, simple as that (or very rarely).

With regards to your question, I train 5 times a week. I walk briskly/run to the gym (approximately 15 minutes each way). Once in the gym I train with weights working on a different body part on different days.

Oh I see.....I'm not doing any specified exercises for erections. The book recommends walking and general exercise to increase the blood flow around the body so that's what I've been doing. The book advises on boosting nitric oxide levels with supplementation therefore I've been taking 3g of l'arginine daily along with 90mg of pycnogenol and omega 3 fish oils. I have noticed a slight increase in my erection quality but not as good as I expected.

You know a good pe routine with kegals seemed to help out many guys here, including me. Have you given that a thought?

You may try the sat kriya yoga pose as described here recently by Carlos 21 for better erection quality, but the very best one of all is to have sex regularly and stop worrying.

I'm prepared to try anything, can you recommend a good kegal routine? It's not something I'm aware of so I'd like to find out more.

I've definitely not heard of the sat kriya yoga pose! Where can I find out more?

As for having sex regularly, I'll cross that bridge when I'm confident of my erections again.

Let me tell you what worked for me and many other guys here, and I'm older than you. Kegals, which can be found in the beginners section, will always help an erection. Why? Because it exercises the muscles that help in achieving one, muscles that get a bit tired as we get older. I find that jelqing as well, again found in the beginners section, do a great job of getting blood to flow through the vessels of the penis. Remember over here we're not trying to sell you anything but to help. How about going over to the beginners section, read the safety first thread as well as the 90 day beginners workout and either come back here or send me a pm and we'll talk about it.

One word of caution safety first. Make sure you read all of the beginner stickies. And beware of overtraining. Many people believe that more is more, well in the PE world less is more. Don't get overzealous, even with kegels as it can have the opposite effect in the short term by reducing your EQ. If it happens take a day or two off and things will be better than normal again. Watch your Physiological Indicators(PIs) and adjust your intensity, volume, and duration from there.

PEing, utilizing kegels and light jelqing can have an amazing effect on your erection levels. I know it did for me. Stay safe, stay consistent, and Happy PEing.

Are you watching a lot of porn? Try cutting back or quitting alltogether, if that is the case.

Edging without ejaculating (ballooning) has helped me. Makes you really horny though.

Guys, thank you so much for all of your advice. It's so reassuring to receive feedback from men that have experienced similar problems. I've already started my kegel and jelqing routine so I'll keep you guys updated.

                            Thanks again
