Apparently You're supposed to have a daily dose of 4.7 grams of potassium. You have to get potassium from food, supplementing it is dangerous. Potassium is responsible for optimal blood pressure and getting too less causes high blood pressure. Magnesium is safe for supplementation and is also a cause for high blood pressure when you are too low on it. People had success lowering their blood pressure to healthy levels by supplementing 1000 Mg atleast a day of magnesium, preferably magnesium bisglycinate chelate, 200 Mg a time for absorption. Magnesium oxide almost has no absorption and is there for useless. Magnesium citrate and carbohydrate are also mediocre in absorption. Your best bet is bisglycinate chelste. Around 56% of the world population is deficient in magnesium.
