  • Supplement Cycling

I've been looking into this quite a bit recently because I have some supplements lined up and am wondering what would be the optimal way to take them.

Here is what one person suggests and I'd appreciate any views on the matter. If what he says is true then I've been wasting my time for years, along with many others I suspect

    http://www.boost-your-low-testosterone.com/testosterone-booster.html

Here's my warning to you, my friend...

Cycle your supplements DAILY, without fail, or you'll just be throwing your cash down the drain.

And why do I say that? Because if you take ANY supplement too often, your body will instantly build up tolerance, and that product will stop working entirely. This is the key point to remember here... the "Game Changer" that will alter the way you look at your hormone supplements for life.Let me demonstrate with an example you'll probably be able to relate to...
Have you ever purchased a testosterone booster, and felt great the first day you took it? Elevated mood, increased sex drive, tons of energy and motivation, etc, etc. Then... When you went back to take it again on day two all that good stuff was nowhere to be found? This happened because you failed to cycle your supplement!

We'll get into this more in a moment, but first let's talk about the specifics of cycling.
Here's how you do it... take each testosterone booster for one day, and one day only, then...cycle off that T-Booster for a MINIMUM of 7 days before you take it again!
    That's it!

    ------------------------

Okay, your opinions please. As a complete novice in this field I'll heed any advice because I'm very confused right now. I just don't want to be wasting my time and money though by buying a load of products and then using them incorrectly.

Does the above make sense? Has anyone actually tried this method (or similar) and, if so, did it work? Or do you have a better one to suggest?

    Please fire away ...

Okay, one week later and I've now purchased my 7 supplements with a minimum of 60 pills for each one. This is over a year's supply based on the one-a-week formula outlined in my previous post, above ^

The 7 products I ended up with (all reputed for their libido-enhancing qualities) are ...

    Damiana
    Maca
    Tribulus
    Horny Goat Weed/Gingko
    Muira Puama
    Ginseng
    ZMA

I'm really not sure how this will go to be quite honest because I do have some misgivings about whether you can get the right dosage from any one product by just using it once a week. On the other hand, if there are a few of them that are working then their combined effect will perhaps trigger off the required response whilst at the same time preventing my body from becoming accustomed to them and reducing their efficacy.

It's unknown territory for me and I'm wondering how long I should expect to wait before results (if any) appear, but I reckon I'll give it the full 60 weeks and see it through to the end, which will take me into 2014. If it turns out to be just another false hope and a wasted year then fair enough - I've wasted 22 years already so what's another one?! It's all about trying a new approach here and I'll do an update if there are any significant developments to report (...but don't hold your breath )

    ------------------

PS. The whole lot only cost me about 53 quid so no worries as far as the cost is concerned, but that was never a major issue anyway as I'm sure all ED sufferers will agree.

I think it is a good idea to cycle your supplements and is recommended by USPlabs to cycle and I use there products for my fitness workouts. Also it is mentioned in the "5g's for big erections" topic on this site talks about the need to cycle and the Kingpole goes into more detail as to why to cycle.

        Thanks for your input, Islandboy!

I should have added that I already take the Ginger, Green Tea and Garlic from Kingpole's 'Five Gs' list so my latest additions now complete the full set of these too.

I must check out what he says as regards cycling this stuff though because I haven't yet read the thread in its entirety and appear to have missed this important part.

I think there are a few of the 5g's that lose there effect on our bodies if you don't cycle them. I do them Monday through Friday with weekends off for my break.

As a matter of fact I'm reading through Kingpole's marathon thread right now and am on page 28 at the moment but there are 60 pages altogether and it's already 2 am (UK time) so I might have to break off there. However, he does mention doing 5 days per week with 2 days off as you say so I think I'll go along with this and start on Monday. Thanks once again for the info!

I Have green tea day once a week, and I add to this some ground down dried plant natural tribulus, for that extra kick, I make a 2 pint pot and add some boiling water back after two mugs of it, I take it through the day with ginger, lemon and honey, but please use proper green tea not bags, theres no strength in it.
This will make you feel good.

Well, it's now been a month since I embarked upon this regimen and there are no positive results to report as yet.

TBQH, I'm wondering if the doses I'm taking are anywhere near high enough; especially considering that you only take one pill per week. Would that really be sufficient to have any effect, and has the person who advocates this (see OP) got his facts right about the body building up a tolerance so quickly?
