  • Jelqing

Okay, I gave this plenty of thought before posting because I know a lot of folks on here swear by jelqing, for various reasons.

I've read a lot of stuff about the benefits (and some not so good stuff too) but anyway, as I have ED and a pretty insensitive penis I thought I'd give it a try as a means of perhaps restoring the blood flow. TBH, I don't have a lot to lose so for the past fortnight I've been taking baths every other day and having a jelqing session during them; nothing too vigorous, just 2 or 3 minutes each time and around 250 strokes using the soap as a 'lubricant'.

I was optimistic at first because jeqing gave me something resembling an erection on the first couple of goes and it seemed worthwhile just for that! In fact, only yesterday my penis became a lot fuller when jelqing so it isn't an unpleasant experience by any means BUT... I have noticed in the time I've been doing this that what was formerly a case of penile insensitivity has now become almost total numbness!!!

I'm sorry to say that I shall have to discontinue this practice because I really do fear the worst if I carry on. I don't believe this was a pure coincidence so I'm having to conclude that jelqing is completely desensitising me. Has anyone else come across this? I should also add that I can feel a very vague aching if I focus on my penis. Nothing serious and a lot of the time I'm unaware of it but I'm just trying to give a complete picture here. There's no physical change of any kind that I can see.

Apologies to any jelqing advocates who have benefited from this exercise in one way or another. Please carry on because I'm not trying to scare folks away - if it works for you then great! I think the message here is that everyone is different and jelqing clearly doesn't suit ME. I just hope that I can reverse some of the damage(?) I may have done, although in my particular case it merely entails a reduced sensitivity becoming an almost non-existent one. No big deal (although I could have done without it!) but I'm just wondering what might have happened had I had a more sensitive penis - this could have been a complete disaster!!!

I certainly don't see jelqing as a remedy in any way for ED and I shall from now on be trying to restore my blood flow, if that is the issue, via a much different and safer means.

First off , I wouldn't use soap as a lubricant , ever. It can be carmful to the skin and could ''roughen up'' the skin causing ithe lack of sensitivity. I would say take a week off and let your skin recover from using soap as a lube , then start using something along the lines of ky jelly, baby oil, or vaseline . Jelqing should do no harm if proper technique is used and the proper lube etc.

      I agree with goal8X6.

Although we cannot pinpoint your problem as of yet, don't use soap. Get some water-based lubricant and use that instead. Use light pressure on your jelqs. It doesn't take that much pressure to move blood up and down your penis. Also, keep your exercises at a 1 off and 2 days on routine. Do not jelq everyday. You need to give your penis time to rest.

Also, jelqing is good for giving you an improved erection, but look into kegels and reversed kegels too. You can do those anytime and in my opinion, they do a substantial amount of work if not most of the work in having a good erection. Kegel every single day, do at least 50-100, and you'll see results in about a month, hands down.

A baby will pull his bare feet up when you put them on rough concrete because their feet are very sensitive. A few years later you can't keep shoes on the kid and they're running over everything in barefeet. When you start working ( jelqing) the same thing may happen although the greater good is to get the blood circulating in areas and with pressures it hasn't done in a while. Increasing your erection hardness with a temporary loss of sensitivity to me seems like a good trade off.

What made you think jelqing was a "remedy" for ED to begin with? There is not much jelqing will do for ED and depending on the cause of the ED itself, there are very few things, if any, that can do anything for ED, except just "management". A person trying to manage ED goes after the CAUSE of ED, not the ED/Penis itself. And so for the case of physiological ED, the causes are always associated with poor blood flow and circulation. Not in the penis, but in the body and throughout the arteries of the whole body. ED is just a SYMPTOM that you have a bigger problem with your body somewhere. Am talking about physiological/normal ED in this case. For SPA/psychological ED, the problem is in the thought process, not in the dick itself. Pulling/stretching it is pointless since the problem is not there. You could just end up hurting yourself.

Your problem seems to be complicated and can only be established after a medical examination to reveal what exactly is wrong in the first place. Jumping from exercise to supplements without really knowing what is causing your problem is futile. You need to seek out professional evaluation in finding out your problem.

          Cheers

I'll be honest, I tend to find your posts kind of annoying at times, as you sort of tackle the subject from the side instead of taking it head on. With that being said, I have to say that your completely right. And I've never really thought of it as being a SYMPTOM and not the entirety of the problem itself. So kudos. And it makes sense completely, its amazing how a SLIGHT shift in perception can make such a difference. What with tv, the internet, McDonalds, and beer, nowadays its alot more rare to find someone who IS in good health, than 10 people who aren't and don't even know it. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, poor diet, smoking, lack of exercise, and just pure laziness are things that I am afraid to say, a high percentage of people 40+ suffer from.

For me, although I am young and things change, I plan to stay fit my whole life. I don't smoke (ciggarettes), nor do I drink beer. I have a fair diet, where I eat all the healthy things I need, but I also eat a lot of shit food (Mostly fats) although this isn't a problem for me now. I exercise, and get a good amount of cardio. Active lifestyle, and I plan to keep it this way. I can't imagine myself just sitting my ass inside for weeks at a time, I'd kill myself! Sorry. Kind of random shit, Thats ADHD for you.
I have no problem being with just one woman, but I can't not eat all the donuts.
