    I'm a 36 yr old married guy. I've always had low libido, but never had issues with performance. But last year I started having issues with going limp during sex with my wife (either that or I wouldn't get hard enough for penetration). After some self-denial, I finally went to see a doctor. My testosterone was right at 300, so he put me on Fortesta gel, and gave me Cialis. After a month, my T-level shot up to 700. But that didn't help with libido or fixing the ED. I tried the Cialis and that didn't work either- I kept losing my erection after penetration.

    Dr. then put me on the max dosages of Cialis and Viagra. Again, had no problems getting erect with these, but would lose it during intercourse. Since the increased T-level didn't help, he told me to get off the gel (we are also trying to get pregnant, and I know synthetic testosterone can reduce sperm count).

    I can keep the erection when masturbating (which I typically do once a week but don't use porn), but they aren't as strong as they used to be. I still get morning wood, but it's never rock hard.

    My lifestyle is pretty good. I am thin, work out often, eat healthy, get good sleep, don't smoke, and don't have any other stress. I have an avg of 4-5 drinks a week. I am taking a multivitamin, Ginko, and L-Arginine.

    My Dr doesn't think it's mental, but my very frustrated wife is starting to think it's performance anxiety. Based on this limited info, what do you think? Is it time to visit a sex therapist?

    I appreciate any advice.

    Not physical if the equipment still works. I'd say a combination of mental and some normal EQ depreciation that can come with age. There's quite a few of us here who have run into the age problem with EQ and are doing PE exercises before it becomes ED. Try and get the erosion of confidence out of your head and read up on doing some PE, almost every person here can attest that their erection quality (EQ) has made significant improvements with exercise.

      I am in my 40's. Married for 12 years. Had a similar issue with ED and DE. My wife was so frustrated she stopped wanting to have sex with me. Here is what I did:

      First off, never touch your glans when you jerk-off. That is the part you need to keep sensitive for a nice soft pussy. Are you cut or uncut? If cut, you need to restore your foreskin. I was DE and ED. Started restoring my foreskin, didn't watch porn, started PEing, stopped jerking off, long story short - 3 months later I get hard and stay hard and can cum within a few minutes (if I don't hold it back).         Abstinence sometimes makes the dick beat harder. Try avoiding ejaculation for a few days to a week and see if that helps. Sometimes weak dick after penetration is caused on lack of focus on the erotic pleasure you should be experiencing inside her vagina. Could be a result of stress, boredom, or other things on your mind causing you to loose focus on the task at hand. You need to try changing your routine, positions, surroundings, or even try imagining your favorite porno scene while pleasuring your wife. Try anything to make the sex act more erotic and less routine. Doesn't cost anything and it could help.
