  • Really confused

I have been dealing with this issue for 8 years now. I have come to the conclusion that my problem is more an arousal issue more than anything else. Just have a hard time getting aroused. Can even have a woman suck on my dick, and sometimes this is not enough. I know that when I am able to get aroused, everything seems to work fine. I have it from time to time, but most of the time not. I am a healthy 58 yo man. No high blood pressure at all. I did take Zoloft for about 6 or 7 years, and have read that this can cause sexual dysfunction. But I read post on on line forums and I do not exhibit a lot of the symptoms that talk of.

My latest thing to remedy it is I started on Androgel. Well I have been on this for two months and really haven't noticed any significant changes. I have had some kind of libido maybe 3 times during this time. My testosterone tested at 450 before I started Androgel. It was tested a month ago, and is now up to 800. But I am started to think that my testosterone wasn't causing this issue.

    Maybe its age.

Can anyone my age chime in to tell me how your libido is. I would much appreciate it.

Like I said, when I am on, wow, it works great! But that is far and few in between.

I used to take a viagra, and it would just get hard without any kind of stimulation. But that doesn't happen too often either lately.

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

I do know that the injections work wonders, but I don't want to have to rely on them.

    Your dick is desensitized.

You sound like the classic guy how has either jerked-off too much/frequently, looked at too much porn, and/or is circumcised.

Had the same problem. For me. Here is the cure: I quit porn, I replaced jerking-off with JP90 program, and am regeneration my foreskin. ... fast forward 4 months ... I now get hard erections very easily and often, and can cum easily (had DE due to circumcision/desensitized glans). Sex has never been better. Wife and I enjoying my bigger harder cock very much and on a regular basis.

    Good luck.

Well, I honestly do not have a porn addiction. Last time I looked at porn was probably six months ago, and it was brief. I do jerk it now and again, but I would not say it is excessive, couple times a week. But I am circumcised. Why did this not bother me in my younger years??

I will share, that for me things change over the decades. I believe it is all about working with what you have, seeking self improvement, and not going hard on yourself. I think that there are routines/workouts here on site, that can help improve things.

How in the world do you regenerate foreskin!!!! Maybe I just have to accept the fact that I am 58.

Ok, I am going to give it a shot. I started doing the kegels. Figured what could it hurt. The funny thing with me is, sometimes I can get rock hard, so I know the plumbing does work.

I think that I might have upset the balance of hormones by using androgel. I am also taking something called clomid to keep the boys working so they don't shrink up. And I am taking arimidex to keep the estrogen in check. This stuff is super potent and think I might have drove my estrogen too low, which is not good either. As a matter of fact, they tell me that it is even worse for erections when your E2 is too low.

Sorry didn't mean to offend. I wasn't calling you a porn addict, I was calling me a porn addict. Circumcision alone is the reason, in your case. Don't believe me? Go to ebay and type in "TLC tugger foreskin regeneration". Read what that product does. It will shock you and it is all true.

The reason it didn't effect you when you were younger is because it takes time to desensitize the penis. Each year your head is exposed the skin gets tougher and thicker and tougher and thicker and thus less and less sensitive. It is true. Take me for example, the head of my penis looked like sandpaper 5 months ago. About 3 months into my regeneration process the head of my penis got soft, smooth, and shiny (like it is supposed to be) and it got a hell of a lot more sensitive. So sensitive that a light touch from my wife feels so fucking good I cannot help but to get hard.

I know I sound like a weirdo, but I have never heard of any man regretting regenerating forskin, so it is worth at least a look at. Who knows, it may solve your problem permanently within a few months.

No offense taken. I am not saying that I never looked at porn before, because I have. I just know that it can be addicting, so I don't want to take a chance. I do have an addictive personality, so I know it would be easy for me to get addicted to it. What you say does make sense. You mean all I have to do is where that device, and I will magically grow foreskin and get a more sensitive head. I am willing to try it, but I know my woman is going to think I am crazy.

Hey nevermind your women, I myself, when I first heard of foreskin regeneration, laughed my ass off. I thought what kind of pervert would do such a thing. I was ignorant.

Short story, I was dealing with ED for years. It was so bad that my wife didn't even want to have sex with me anymore. I was desperate. I googled "how to restore sensitivity to my penis" and that's when I discovered regeneration. I told my wife, and to my surprise, she was delighted. Totally supportive.

I'm sure your wife will be too. She loves you. She wants you to be your best. And I'm pretty darn sure she enjoys your hard cock. I'm guessing, with a proper explanation, your wife will be just as thrilled.

Slip, I believe you have the same problem as myself.

You cannot get aroused, right? Otherwise, your penis works fine but it's just at the arousal stage that things don't happen, if I've understood correctly? Well, I've been trying to solve this same problem for years my friend (I'm now 55) but I'm afraid that the search for an aphrodisiac is something that has eluded me thus far - and medical science as a whole! There may be certain things that work for certain individuals but I'm yet to find anything to fire me up and get those erections and excitememt level I used to have.

And no, it's not due to Internet porn, excessive masturbation or any of the other assumptions that folks immediately make. Mine came on overnight so that rules out these things for a start. Regarding desensitisaton of the penis itself, yes there are some issues here and again your case is very similar to mine because I also happen to be circumcised. However, if the arousal was there then none of this would matter because I could get a perfectly good erection regardless of how sensive/insensitive my penis actually is to the touch. It's just a question of getting the blood flowing to the relevant parts, and this is the whole problem!!!

Have I more or less summed up your situation? I wish I could provide some answers to the arousal issue, but like I say it's a difficult thing to restore once it's gone. There may even be a psychological component involved; it's hard to say. I think it all depends on which doc/uro you ask, because they all seem to have different opinions. For the record, have you looked into the candida/yeast possibility? This is my latest line of inquiry and I was going to do a thread about this at some point - it's actually a lot more common than people think and it's a well-known libido killer!

Yeah Kinda. I definitely think that there is a psychological component involved, as sometimes I can get aroused.
