  • I don't know what to do

    Hi, I've just joined this forum and I'm looking for some advice regarding the following issues.

    1) I don't get random/morning erections. (haven't for like 4 years now)

    2) I can't get an erection without the use of porn.

    3) When I do get an erection, my penis doesn't even feel that hard. It just feels kind of spongy and soft.

    4) I've noticed that my jizz isn't as thick anymore.

    5) My sex drive and energy has deteriorated.


    I've been trying to narrow down the reasons why I'm having these issues, and so far I've come up with these, but I'm not sure whether they are credible or not.

    1) I'm not exercising enough.

    2) I'm drinking nothing but Pepsi

    3) Maybe my Testosterone levels are low.

    4) To much masturbation.

    5) Maybe I've damaged my penis and now have blood flow problems.

    6) I'm to stressed out.

    7) Maybe my brain and penis doesn't respond to anything other than porn.


    I should mention that I went through a similar issue around 3 years ago and my cure was to stop masturbating for a few months and to exercise daily. It worked, but I'm not sure if I will have similar results if I were to try it again.

    So, does anybody have any advice as to what I can do to improve my situation? Diet, exercises etc?

    It sounds to me that you already know what you need to do and what you need to cut out of your life to first off improve your overall health.
    First off, stop drinking so much soda especially if it is not diet (too much sugar can lead to diabetics, pancreatic issue, neuropathy, etc... which surely cannot be could for circulation).

    Second, start to get active. Do push ups and sits up talking a good walk a day which will ultimately lead to other activities to get the blood flowing and muscles working. True fact: It only takes three days of doing not much for the muscles to start to weaken. Also, this will start to relieve the stress in your life having a more healthy output.

    Stop masturbating so much. You have trained your sex drive to become used to the form of masturbation as the sexual relieve thus making it harder for other forms (like being with your woman) to get aroused fully where you more find yourself getting limb during sex than staying aroused during it. You feel me.
    This even applies to the over usage of porn. If you see the act of nudity and so forth then after a while you start to became desensitized from it. This applies to most things in life generally.

      M'bating is a terrible habit. It will mess up your "real life" performance. STOP porn 100%. So many reasons for this...just stop watching...

      Lots of food in our diet turns into estrogen...so you have to make sure you are getting enough testosterone foods/activities in your daily life. Eat lots of protein, exercise daily...preferably resistance training, have sex with your wife, limit caffeine, nicotine, alcohol.

      In our western diet, you have to be diligent and make sure you're not ingesting estrogen or those chemicals/hormones which produce it. Or at least limit it.

        Haha yeah, I'm going to quit watching porn and also quit masturbating for a few months at least. Regarding the estrogen comment, what sort of food should I be aiming to eat? And should I combine cardio with weightlifting, or is that counter productive?

          Very sensible to list probable causes. They all seem credible to me apart from #5, I think you would know if you'd damaged your penis.
          Looks like a combination of factors having a combined effect on you physically and thenewdude is giving you good advice in his comment but I would like to add that excessive caffeine consumption can also cause temporary erectile disfunction.
          More exercise, better diet and less caffeine should also help lower your stress but you need to look into other reasons why you are stressed too and address those.

            Don't do lots of cardio...counter productive imho. High intensity sprints/swim/bike/squat/burpee/jump squats etc anything that significantly taxes your body...do for 1 minute 90% effort, rest 2 minutes...do another minute. That's 4 minutes total for cardio and you'll see a significant jump in testosterone and HGH for 24-36 hours. Do this daily or every other day at least.

            Resistance...combine some form of squat...weighted/jump/speed with pullups/chinups and dips...and you'll hit nearly everything you need to hit. 3x week is plenty.

            As to food, I'm not an expert. Google high test foods and read some info. I try to avoid breads/pasta/cereal/dessert...and eat lots of eggs, steak, lean pork, fish, chicken and lots of brocholi, green beans, mixed salads etc. If you can avoid most of the breads and desserts by eating meat and green veggies should go a long way toward your goals...

            As to the estrogen...just avoid synthetic hormone products...look for hormone free milk, eggs, beef, poultry, & wild caught fish. You can save a ton of money by buying frozen veggies instead of fresh...nearly identical nutrition profile at a fraction of the price. Broccoli might be the single best veggie on earth...nutrition wise...

              Number 1 & 3 occurring simultaneously is always a reason to visit an urologist. Simple blood tests will reveal if you have an underlying medical condition/low t causing your issue. That is what you should do first.

                You already have a list of probable causes and you can start tackling them. Being physically out of shape and lack of cardiovascular endurance will affect your erections speaking out of personal experience as well.

                Doctors say that when a person has ED sometimes it may show underlying conditions of narrowing of arteries and cardiovascular diseases. Why ? Because it's usually the smaller arteries that supply blood to the penis are affected first before the bigger ones. So make sure you eat healthy, exercise, reduce porn since it desensitizes your brain and you get aroused less easily. Also get some good and deep sleep.

                Also unless your testosterone is very low (much lower than normal range), it shouldn't affect your erections. There hasn't been any evidence that I know of that links higher testosterone to better erection quality (unless you're deficient).

                You can speak to your doctor. He will probably also test your blood cholesterol level. But for now, these healthy habits should help. Good luck!
