  • Icariin/Arginine/Pycnogenol trio, recommended by a source I trust

    Here's the article.
A Natural Approach to Erectile Dysfunction that Improves Vascular Health - Life Extension

I don't support that organization (LEF) financially because I am vegan, but I love the depth of their research. I thought this forum should see the article. LEF has a history of supporting the right choices early on.
    Overcome Unwanted Arousal Escalation Triggers

I would agree with Icariin... but you have to get the right source. This is an incredibly synergistic combination if you get high quality sources of all the ingredients. The science is sound, Icariin degrades and blocks the PDE-5 enzymes....leading to permanently decreased PDE-5 enzymes, Pycnogenol stimulates endothelial nitric oxide production (eNOS) - which helps maintain erections, and arginine acts as a substrate for nNOS as well as plays a role in intracellular signaling pathways. It also is used as a raw material to produce other isoforms of Nitric Oxide (eNOS,iNOS).

Pycnogenol also has the capacity of strengthening blood vessel walls. I take it because I suffer from macular edema. However, it may also be helpful in avoiding discoloration caused by pumping. Just a thought.

Many times you'll find icarin ( horny goat weed ) at only a 10% or 20% concentration. Recently Swanson Vitamins started carrying an icarin supplement standardized at 50%. I haven't tried it and it's so new there were only two reviews up on their website.

Interesting...I usually get the World A.B.S / Icariin Health 60% kind - that's the best imo..but due to Swanson's good track record, and discount prices..I may pick up a bottle of their's soon and give it a go!
However, my purpose for using it would be bodybuilding and P.E improvement/Enhancement. (which has already made quite a bit of progress).

In general I really love this place: PowderCity

            And they have Icariin.

I spend a lot on supplements and I get as much from them as I can. So often I cannot find better prices anywhere (though on occasion I have at pipingrock), so I tend to just not waste my time looking. I have a referral link for that place that gives 5% off, so if you're interested in that PM me.

They just added that to their list in their last newsletter, so they have it. They don't have a large selection compared to some places, but they have a good selection.

Great combo which I have tried before with a lot of success in terms of increasing the hardness and duration of my morning erections. Here's a tip: another combo I developed that worked just as well and was slightly cheaper was this:

                  raw organic cocoa + l-arginine + pycnogenol

                  Science:

Cocoa is has been demonstrated to reduce the activity of an enzyme called arginase in our kidneys and the walls of our blood vessels. Arginase competes with an enzyme called nitric oxide synthase (NOS) for l-arginine. NOS turns l-arginine into nitric oxide which is good for blood flow while arginase turns l-arginine into other unrelated compounds as part of the urea cycle. The more NOS activity and the less Arginase activity, the more nitric oxide created. Thus raw organic cocoa is our first supplement because it lowers arginase activity.

L-arginine is the amino acid that NOS turns into nitric oxide. With the activity of arginase inhibited by the dose of cocoa, the l-arginine is free to be turned by NOS into nitric oxide, the chemical responsible for relaxing our blood vessels.

Thirdly and finally, the pycnogenol. All that available l-arginine means nothing if nitric oxide synthase doesn’t actually convert it into nitric oxide. Though the mechanisms of action are not entirely clear, it has been confidently demonstrated that pycnogenol encourages nitric oxide synthase to convert l-arginine into nitric oxide. Several studies support this finding including a collection of studies on the co-administration of l-arginine and Pycnogenol.
I beat erectile dysfunction with diet and supplements. PM for info!

I like how you took the time to do all of this, the cocoa information is very interesting. I always knew it was an NOS activator, but you're the first to mention arginase inhibitor...! Cool shit.
