  • ED at young age

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I love it so far, alot of useful information can be found here.
I'm also European, so sorry for any English mistakes.
I am 19 years old and I cannot get an erection.
In the past year I suffered from depression and anxiety, but I was still able to get erections without any problem.
In the past 3 months, I could not get an erection at all. Even when I do, it's at ~70% max, and lasts only 5 seconds. (I did not have a rock hard erection for like a year...) so I pretty much masturbate with weak erections.
Even when I do manage to get an erection, it only lasts for about 5 seconds... when I ejaculate my penis goes flaccid immediately, even before I cum.

I just want to say that I got over my anxiety and depression, in the past few weeks I eat better, go out every more, exercise alot and feel very energetic and happy but my erection problems are still there.
Is it possible that it's not even related?

I also never took any anti-depressant pills or anything like that, I decided to change, my psychiatrist did not give a shit about me and kept giving me another prescription for another medicine, but I never used it.
    Anyway, back to the topic.

I've been reading the stickies, and I can say for sure that it is not related to porn, because I almost always masturbate with my mind and not porn. Even while watching porn, it is kinda hard for me to get an erection.
I've been adding 4 garlic cloves a day to my diet, and yes I started getting morning woods but they are not hard, like I said, only about 70%.

I know I should go to the doctor, but it is so awkward to have ED at my age.. if I can't find an answer in here then I guess I'll discuss this with my doctor.
Can you guys suggest me what to do, any exercises or specific things to eat other than garlic?
I also do not drink caffeine anymore, at all. Only water. if it matters!
    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the Gym!

Sorry to hear about your depression and difficulty having an erection.

Anxiety and depression are known erection killers, it takes time to regain your powers after recovery, although seeing a professional is a very good idea, a doctor should be able to pin point the problem and steer you in the right direction.

A healthy diet and exercise plan will do wonders for your overall health as well as your mental and sexual health.

The PE exercises listed on site do help treat most forms of ED, kegels and jelqing are good for beginners, if you are interested, don't miss this thread!!

And if you haven't already done so, please READ THIS Thread, Maximize Your Success Here and focus on safety, you only have one penis, take good care of it, then pick one of the manual beginner routines to follow for at least 90 days to condition your penis, most members here choose JP90, start slow, and build up to the full routine over the period of a few weeks.

Pay attention to your PIs, your penis is trying to tell you if you are over working, or you are in the growth zone, aim for positive PIs, and steer away from the negative ones.

It could get better if you build a stronger pelvic floor by doing kegels But don´t´overdo it and include reverse-kegels.
      Starting stats:
      01.08.2013: BPEL 6,3 x 4,3 MSEG
      22.06.2015: BPEL 7.6 x 5.30 MSEG(not cemented)
      After a long break:
      01.05.2016: BPEL 7.3 x 5.1 MSEG
      16.11.2018: BPEL 7.3 x 5.0-5.1 MSEG BSEG 5.3
Are you struggling to get it up while with a girl? Look up PIED!

        Welcome to the gym Scarathan!

I'm not very knowledgeable with ED, but one thing I will say is if you can get an erection, even a weaker one it's a good sign and the morning wood sound encouraging too. The exercise and sensible diet are a step in the right direction too as MrB8 suggests, stick with it bro!

Many members report harder erections after doing one of the beginner routines, but start gently, encourage it to get better, don't force it.

        Good luck, stay positive.

            Welcome to the gym Scarathan,

There are a lot of wise minds here to help you out, so just keep an open-mind and you will do well!
            -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it's certainly a good sign if something as simple as garlic helped reinforce morning wood...in regards to the immediate flaccidity after ejac, this sounds like a product of stress as well. Over time, stress raises the levels of many hormones that may blunt erectile capacity and short out orgasm strength as well...however, an immediate return to flaccid will bring on two questions.

1.) Do you feel the ejac or is it runny? Do you feel pelvic muscles tense leading up to this point and is orgasm contraction noticeable?
2.) Have you accustomed yourself to specific fantasies, and do these fantasies require fear, input fear, or are they centered around feelings of hopelessness or compensation?

You mentioned you "use your mind" alone - that's a good sign that some of your neural circuitry is still in tact.
Chances are this is all a product of your anxiety and depression, my money is on your prolactin and noradrenaline levels being elevated.

Look into our five G's thread...and certainly get on a kegel/rv kegel routine and follow a healthy diet and exercise program to get your mind off of stress, and certainly do not beat yourself up over this ongoing issue (even though it is difficult).

Good luck Scarathan! Nice to hear that garlic has such a great effect, I will eat more as well, but always forget it Btw how do you eat it? I am 23, have also ED problems for years. Although, I just started to take it more seriously, I guess edging is also a good one, not ejaculating often though.
My journey to becoming a sexmaster
Short term goal: restoring pelvic balance
Middle term goal: ejac. control, great EQ
              Long term goal: Multiple orgasms
What will you do today, that will make you proud in a year?

                Hello & welcome Scarathan,

I had very similar problems at your age and to this day have no idea (well a few theories) where it came from. All I know is it got better over time but I'm sure it would have been sorted quicker with access to good info.
Fortunately for you there is now the amazing internet and this forum! I swear doing PE sorted out the last ~20% of it. And yes garlic is great, I finely slice two cloves and wash it down with fruit juice morning and evening (four cloves in total), works pretty good by itself but combined with a beginner routine like JP90 plus a good pelvic floor routine and the results can be amazing.

                Good luck & stay safe
