Has anyone noticed a link between the two? Or too much protein?

Whey Protein and ED?

Why not just eat food? Drink chocolate milk postworkout. You get your simple carbs with the sugar spike and milk (casein & whey, drink 4 cups), its cheaper and your other foods will provide you with the amino acids...then now you don't have to worry yourself with the question about the relation between ED and whey."The shame was not that his body was exposed, but that it was exposed to indifferent eyes"-Ayn Rand

The main benefit to whey is the absorption speed in comparison to other protein sources. This is why its so beneficial after a workout or first thing in the morning. The fastest and best whey for this reason is whey protein isolate(purest whey protein) thats been hydrolyzed (pre broken down and even faster digestion). Other things to avoid when absorption speed matters are fat and fiber because they slow digestion. At other times they are still necessary.
Other than that its the most complete in its amino acid levels and variety. I wouldnt suggest more than 3 scoops a day. I was doing this since 12 years old and weighed close to 300 pounds at one point with no ED. Id even say i had the opposite. Also as taab said, soy increases estrogen and lowers test. Its best to eliminate it completely. Its also the least complete of all the proteins in amino acids and bio availability. In other words soy is crap. Stay away from sugar alcohol as well. Same effect on hormones and they put it in almost all protein bars. Shits dumb and sooooo annoying to me. Most salad dressings most abundant ingredient is soy oil. Makes you kind of laugh when all these people trying to get healthy eating salads and protein bars are shoveling estrogen down their throats. Ironic and fucked up......Hours in x4: 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 1.3k +ab sleeve

You are absolutely right about the fats/fibers and absorption rate. Our body's will still have that window open for a considerate amount of time when the nutrients are needed.
He can still get by and gain huge with chocolate milk as his main shake."The shame was not that his body was exposed, but that it was exposed to indifferent eyes"-Ayn Rand

Maybe he meant tubs of whey with all the other stuff mixed in there?Originally posted by wishful10x8 View PostFor someone worrying about whey you listed whey in the benefits of chocolate milk?"The shame was not that his body was exposed, but that it was exposed to indifferent eyes"-Ayn Rand

I eat 200 grams of protein a day ... half of that comes from whey protein isolate. I don't have ED or any inkling of ED. Just make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. You should be drinking plenty of water anyway ... at least 90 ounces a day as a male ... but especially if you are eating more protein. Whey isolate also contains glutathione, which is a powerful anti-oxidant by itself, but also optimizes other anti-oxidants in the body.
Soy is pure garbage and is not a good protein source. Stay away from it whenever possible.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I take 30g of whey protein once per day in a shake however on gym days I take 2 shakes. I'm at the gym 4 times per week. I eat quite alot of chicken and fish everyday to get the protein in.
I joined the gym as part of my quest to overcome prem-e however in the past few weeks I've noticed my EQ drop.
Since I started to PE I've done approx 6 weeks of 50 med rks (5 sec hold) 4 days per week including edging on the other days. I'm wondering if the rk only routine has caused my eq to drop. If i'm honest I feel a little worried. I'm taking time off at the moment from doing any exercises at all. What do you guys recommend?

Keep the rks, and start adding kegels back into your routine. Do them so they are built up to the point that you are doing half and half. Start with 10 kegels of 2 second hold and slowly add each week until you are doing 50 of each. Go slowly.ALL THE WAY WITH GOOD OLE JAY!

Since the issue your having is ED and i mostly just covered protein in the last post I feel like this post will be more relevant. What is your exercise routine like? Do you do running? Do you lift weights? If so what type of lifting. If you are hoping to cure ed then exercising to boost testosterone and other anabolic hormones is your best bet. I suggest a 5-6 day routine with the following lifts
Day 1 chest and triceps 4-5 sets of 10-12 reps before muscle failure barbell bench press 2 sets incline bench press and a few sets of tricep pushdowns elbows at sides targets outer tricep(lateral head) elbows overhear or in front of you to target the long head(in armpit area) 3 sets bicep curls with arms straight 2 sets dumbell curls with arms facing inwards and 3-4 sets forearms 2 upper 2 under forearm.
Day 2 Squats 4-5 sets standing calf raises 3 sets sitting calf raises 1-2 sets tibialis toe raises 2-3 sets
Day 3 rest
Day 4 4-5 sets situps 2-3 sets leg raises 4-5 sets trunk raises 2-3 sets obliques 2-3 sets of rows 2-3 sets pullups or pulldowns and if you have resistance bands a couple sets of rotator cuff work
Day 5 rest.
I leave out day 6 to have a day to throw in if im to sore and feel like it would be counter productive to work out. Also back day should be given special attention, occasionally give rotator cuffs extra attention.Hours in x4: 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 1.3k +ab sleeve

The more muscles worked at once the more testosterone is released to potentially cure ed. For example squats, rows, bench press, abs and low back. All the limb work is just detailing. I intentionally left out deadlifts because they are the lift that most people injure themselves on.Hours in x4: 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 1.3k +ab sleeve
