Can porn really lead to ed?

This is how porn can cause ED for virgins like you: You watch those perfects women all day, you imagine how good it is to have sex, how beautiful they are and all that. Then you meet a girl in real life, you're going to have sex with her, she's covered in acne and fat, she stinks because she just went for a run, her asshole is not properly cleaned, it's a forrest down there at her pussy and it tastes pee, disgusting boobs, the vagina looks completely different than what you expected, etc. Basically, she won't live up to your expectations which will make it hard for you to get an erection. This is the immediate effects of PORN as a virgin. In porn everything is just perfect, you imagine how good it's going to smell, how good and wet her pussy is going to be, how fantastic she's looking, how good her hair smells and so on, but in reality, you hook up with a girl with a lot of skin problems.Last edited by Thenewguy2; 10-16-2013, 11:45 AM.

thanks for takin your time and maybe its helpful to other virign members but the ruth is IM not Im 30 years old,I came back to my mother house cause of the crisis 4 years ago.In my 20s I shared apartment and had sex with girls, porn abuse and partied a lot.Yeha alcohol doeesnt help either. I was lucky to have hot sexy girls so most times I could perform but still there were times when I failed starting in my 23's and getting worse and worse. Needles to say you are right,I cant have sex with a girl that is not an 8 or 9.She needs to do BJ or be so hot,but no BJ means no erection and I loose it before puting the condom on if I dont hurry up.Originally posted by Thenewguy2 View PostThis is how porn can cause ED for virgins like you: You watch those perfects women all day, you imagine how good it is to have sex, how beautiful they are and all that. You dont ofend me Big Al matter fact you hit the spot.Yes IM depressed and negative towards lot of things. And not having my manhood increases the math. I have financial problems, family drama and unhealed scars from past relationships( ED was not the problem in those relationships). But if you couple all I have listed with ED and porn adiction lets say my self steem is not at the roof.Originally posted by Big Al View PostIt's the addiction to porn that we are discussing. It's easy to fall into a philosophical discussion about the morality of porn, but for the purpose of this subject, it's about the use of porn as stimulus and the conditioning effects that it causes.
I don't mean to offend you, but is it possible that you are making excuses for yourself and your continued habits? Do you not see a connection between your depression, your negative attitude, and your justification-however moderate- of your continued use of porn? If the stimulation you're giving yourself is through the use of porn, you will be conditioning yourself- whether you do it three times a week or three times a day.
You are afraid- that's understandable, but until you decide to really do something about feeling that way what do you expect to change? Only by confronting your fears will you make those changes- not by avoiding them or making excuses!
And you know..its even harder cause its been truly a fall from grace.I was that atractive sexy guy in his early 20s getting all the girls making money with a loving big family...and everything fell apart. I know some of you may now think my ED is cause of depression but its not.It started way before everything turned bad.
Althou you are so right in your advice to me,ED is only part of the puzzle and my message wasnt an excuse.I just wanted to highlight that if you are not strong enough to completely avoid porn at least try and use it with caution.

When you fall, you can either stay down or get back up. You've already had a taste of a more positive lifestyle. Once you get back on your feet, you'll be able to do it again- but with more perspective this time around. This will ensure that you don't take advantage of the things that you used to. it'll also ensure that you know what truly matters and you'll be able to focus on that.Originally posted by carlos21cm View PostYou dont ofend me Big Al matter fact you hit the spot.Yes IM depressed and negative towards lot of things. And not having my manhood increases the math. Make no mistake, this requires work, and the process of getting back up is often not fun, but don't make the mistake of thinking that others don't care- they absolutely do! You have to care about yourself, and this will entail forgoing any sustained thoughts on your being a victim of some kind.Want a FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

What would happen if you decided to stop? Would you feel deprived in any way?
Why do you feel the desire to use porn? Is it the convenience of it?
If you're in a relationship: does using porn detract from your sexual encounters? If you're not in a relationship: is it possible that your porn use is affecting your motivation for being in one, at least to some degree?Want a FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

Yes it can lead to ED.
I have first hand experience. I have always watched a lot of porn and masturbated at least once a day. Eventually I began to have some problems in the bedroom with intercourse and ED. My erections would not be 100% and I would usually go flacid after 5 minutes or so. At the time I was in the navy and deployed on ships occasionally. When this happened I had very little access or time for porn. Sometimes I was away for 6 months at a time on a ship. I still masturbated but had to use my own imagination. My EQ was better my sexual desire was frighteningly strong when I went ashore around the ladies. I mean I couldnt think of anything else than gettin every girl iI seen into the sack.
When I got home nothing changed initially. I was loving life. Out on the pull every other night putting it about as you do. Eventually as I watched more and more porn over the coming months I started to suffer from ED again. Fast forward 4 or 5 years to now and I have been out of the Navy for a while so no forced hard reset. Many times I have said ok I will quit watching porn and many times I have tried but I never seem to fully commit. I suffer from ED still. I know I can overcome it but it will take time. Hopefully I will fully commit to it next time. It is an addiction. One I never even noticed I was becoming addicted to. and still feel slightly in denial.Start: NOV 2013

I've taken the liberty of copying the contents of the post below from a thread with a similar theme here:
It's easy to get distracted by labels like "addict". Look at it from a conditioning point of view. EVERY time that you masturbate to porn, you are effectively conditioning yourself using some of the most powerful reward/response systems available.
Here's some questions to put things into perspective- answers would be appreciated, but please feel free to keep the replies to yourself, if necessary:
-Would you be able to stop viewing porn at all- cold turkey- without feeling like you're missing something?
-Do you use porn as a substitute for sexual activity?
-Has porn affected your viewpoint towards sex- in what you expect from yourself and/or your potential sexual partners?
-Are you more easily aroused by porn than by real life scenarios? In essence, are you more "at ease" with porn and does a real life scenario induce feelings of anxiety?
-Here's one that really puts things into perspective- do you get automatic arousal symptoms as you start using your computer?Want a FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

Porn and masturbation use over the years has definitely caused my ED. There is a reason a lot of young males are suddenly popping up with erection difficulties. Porn of today is a lot more intense than the porn of yesteryear.Starting
5.75 BPEL x 4.75 EG EQ of less than 5 (August 2014)
Goal
7.00 BPEL x 5.50 EG EQ of 9,000

I think it might also be a "lifestyle" thing as well. When I was very young, porn was something you came across infrequently, and watching it was usually done in a furtive manner. Now, you have a whole generation of young men who have grown up with ubiquitous access to porn, and a lot of these men have the mindset that what they see in porn is real and something to be mimicked with their significant others. It can be seen as a type of mass emotional "de-evolution" of sorts.Originally posted by CopenhagenW23 View PostPorn and masturbation use over the years has definitely caused my ED. Women have felt this backlash as well, and you'll find may who think that they need to act like porn stars because "that's what men want".Want a FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE
