    Hey guys,

    This is going to be a long post, but IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT. PLEASE READ.

    this summer i had a period of time where i had those awesome rock hard erections that would take me to exactly 7 inches when i thought i was actually 6 inches. I have watched alot of porn during my teenage years and i just realized the detrimental effect.

    Habitually i would masturbate 3-4 times a week to porn and that would also escalate most of the time to more hardcore porn because i was desensitized. This also lead to sometimes over masturbation where i would litteral do it 5 times in a row and my penis would shrunk after. Btw, everytime i did this, EQ would be SHIT for almost 2-3 weeks.

    What i've remarked is that right before the period where i had awesome EQ (10/10) i entered the nofap challenge and masturbated like 3-4 times in the month before for like 5 mins each and watched almost no hardcore porn at ALL which involved fetishes,etc. I sometimes watched some normal porn for like 10 minutes but it was only when i did touch my dick which is 3-4 times in one month like i said earlier.

    Also when on the period where i had 10/10 EQ i've remarked that women were turning me on MUCH MORE. Like everytime a girl sit on my lap or was next to me, I was struggling to not get an erection. Also semi-boner all day long and i litterally realized i was 7 inches at my maximum except of 3/4 hard 6 inches when i was watching porn. Everytime i had an erection it was 100% hard at 7 inches.

    Then i restarted watching porn instead of trying to have sex with women normally because i had a such a high sex drive and BANG, after 3 weeks, everytime i had an erection my dick was down to 3/4 it's size hard.
    I tried to find some explications regarding diet or exercice. Ironically i ate like shit during the 10/10 EQ period and did not do weight lifting much at that time. I've realized that also there have been 4 times after i restarted watching porn where i literraly over masturbated. So much that i would not get an erection until 2-3 days after.

    So my realisation is that, PORN and OVER MASTURBATION is very bad for EQ and sexual health. Everyone wants to improve their penis size, but your penile and sexual health is MUCH more important. I prefer having a 7 inches rock hard penis than having a 8 inches limp dick. I'm recommanding everyone to stay away from porn, even when the general consensus is that porn is OK. It is not good for your sexual health. Regarding masturbation, MODERATION is perfectly normal. But my advice is NEVER masturbate 2 times in a day or two times in a row. Follow this with no porn and i guarantuee you will have such good erections and sex drive you will never miss those porn sessions and you'll have the best sex of your life Trust me.

      Thank you, Cavalier. Btw, i think some people will say "what about porn in moderation". But the problem is that porn is so much an overstimulant that your brain always wants more, atleast for me and alot of people.

        Agreed 100%. Porn is the worst thing to ever happen to me. Wasted tons of time and lowered my EQ, my sex drive, my confidence. Led to anxiety, self-doubt, unhealthy lifestyle choices. So glad to be rid of it. Wish I would have found this forum a few years ago and stopped back then.

            thats what we always advise everybody here to stay away from porn.

            Masturbation, is a different story. My opinion is that masturbation is a natural thing. Unless you learn how to masturbate from porn or somebody else, is a natural instinct to please yourself. I learn to masturbate completely by myself.

            So my point is, if you grow up isolated in the middle of nowhere without access to any kind of porn at all, you can masturbate every single day, you can get tired, but trust me the moment you have a hot girl naked in front of you, that erection would be 120%. So in my opinion the priority is to get rid of the evil that surround us. Porn, sexy pics on social media, sexy advertisements, magazines, etc. Using only your imagination would be the best way even if you feel like masturbating all the time.

                  how do you feel porn (even soft-core/normal porn) and sexy pics are worse than your imagination? Or more specifically, what leads you to believe that any pic/videos are bad, but using your imaginations (which would probably have said videos or pics) is not harmful?

                  I'm just curious. I'm not saying I disagree.

                      Because pictures/videos are closer enough to reality with the advantage to be on demand. They provide the level of excitement necessary to feel pleasure whenever its needed. Something that the mind can do but as I said not closer enough to reality.

                        EQ is incredibly better. Ability to visualize sexual situations and just pop a boner when I see a hot chick in public has been noticeably better. Porn makes your imagination numb. But like Jay said, jelqing doesn't hurt either. But I won't ever risk it again and go back to porn...not ever.

                          I'm feeling pretty demoralized right now, but looking at the factors it's really just just logical that I'm am going through the problems that I am right now.

                          For my entire life, up until recently, the only sexual gratification I got was by faping and watching porn. I'd say hmm, I'm horny/bored, let's watch some porn and fap. In my brain, I was having sex with perfect 10 women for years without even having to worry about performance anxiety or another person's feelings.

                          It got to the point where I almost never got erections with touching myself. I just turn on the porn and start fapping, because i was so impatient. How can I expect to just start getting erections right away before sex when it has not been that way for most of my life?

                          So I think I'm dealing with three big factors here: my brain is desensitized due to thinking I only fuck perfect 10s, my penis is not used to being erect before sex without physical stimulation, performance anxiety due to a multitude of things.

                          Anyways, I've been porn free for almost 4 months. I have noticed that I start to get erections more when cuddling/kissing etc. more than before, but not much difference in sexual situations. The only time I masturbate is when I'm edging.

                          I think I'm just going to have to give this some time. 9+ years of bad masturbation habits and porn abuse is going to take longer than 4 months to overcome.

                          Here is a thought, when I'm edging, should I try to visualize myself into an erection before I start touching myself?

                            Forget about your erection. Trust me, you don't want to focus on that. The less you worry about where your erection is at the better it will be. Visualize how amazing your partner looks naked. Visualize having sex with them. Try to transition from kissing to a sexual situation using what excited you in the first place to keep you going.

                            You may want to consider finding a cognitive therapist that deals with both anxiety and porn addictions. If you have health insurance the copay is usually quite nominal, $20 for me. If you find yourself arguing with your brain about when you have an erection you are experiencing an anxiety trick and this is very hard to battle on your own.

                            You may also want to try Sensate Focus Touch exercises. If you Google that you will find plenty of info about it. It really does help rewire your brain, because that's essentially what's wrong. You've had years of cross wiring your brain and giving yourself different scenarios to fear or to avoid. There is no overnight cure for that.

                              Lol yea I just realized that I pretty much contradicted my previous post about not fighting the problem directly. I will check out the Sensate Focus Touch, it's just so hard not to be thinking about my erection when the girl is ready to go and I'm not. I will redirect my thinking to relax, accept, and enjoy the situation no matter what the outcome.
