  • Varicocele and erectile dysfunction (ED)

    Hi,

I am reaching out to you because I have a grade 3 varicocele. I am 40 years old. I also suffer from ED. I do not have any anxiety and have had this problem for about 3 years. Morning erections occur very softly a couple times a month. I have been prescribed both Stendra and Viagra neither have been very successful. Some times I have absolutely no libido either. I have never used steroids. I have no other health complications. I am 6 ft and 180lbs. I do not smoke. I do not consume much alcohol. I am wondering if the varicocele has anything to do with this and what I should do next? My erections very soft and are not sustained are never hard enough to penetrate. I have this issue alone and with a female. I also find it harder to gain muscle /keep off fat. However I do not have issues with growing facial hair or body hairs (chest).

I have a varicocele grade 3, and i'm 21. I've looked all around the web for a solution, and already visited an urologist. Although the high word isn't out yet, I am most likely convinced my urologist will either suggest surgery or pain therapy, or just accepting it and living with it. I'm also an ex-AAS abuser.

Now I take L-Citrulline, Shilajit, vitamin C with bioflavanoids and zinc picolinate daily and things are starting to be a lot better, and my varicocele pain symptoms are dissapearing, and the swelling of the veins is decreasing!

I see that you suspect a low testosterone level in your body, so its in your best interest to get blood work to check this out, along with some vitamin levels to see if you have a deficiency. Indeed what Big Al said is true, varicocele is known to surpress your testosterone level, research says.

Checking in with your urologist is a good idea if you haven't already, because varicocele is known to be a symptom of harsh and even deathly illnesses. Your urologist will always check this out through procedures. Don't want to scare you here, but it is in your best interest that you are aware of this.

So visit an urologist first, and tell him all of your physical problems and suspicions, even if they don't directly apply to the scrotum region.

I have had a varicocele since high school. I'm 50. The urologist said it absolutely does NOT affect my erectoions.

I had varicocele bilateral when I was 18 in the military. Never affected my erections, and I never heard it does. And I am sure it doesn't. It is not related at all to any mechanism involving the erection process. It only affects fertility temporarily while the disease is present.

Your problem might be involved to hormones. That problem is directly related to nutrient deficiency. At 40 low testosterone is nor normal. Well, the amount of the population having low testosterone at a young age is more and more by the day so I guess soon medicine will consider it "normal"

The problem here is that as you already experienced, you went to the doctor and he gave you drugs. Viagra. Did it work? NO. Did it cure anything? NO. Even if it worked, is it curing the problem? NO. The underlying condition is still there. So based on that, if you go to the urologist, they will probably find that your testosterone levels are low. Do you think he is going to cure you? NO. He will prescribe you more drugs that don't cure, only treat symptoms. He will probably prescribe you testosterone and that is pretty much for life. The exogenous testosterone will completely shut down your brains hormone production that trigger all the other hormones to be secreted. Eventually after some time, your body will never be able to produce these hormones at healthy levels anymore.

If I was you I would try to get a diagnose, and before accepting any drug or "treatment", I would research a CURE for your problem.

There's a lot of data on the net referring to natural treatments for varicoceles. It might be in your best interests to research effective they truly are by reading and asking questions of those who've used said techniques.

I have varicocele but its never been an issue. But now I am wondering if it is causing lower Test levels than I should have. I dont think I have Low T but I sometimes feel it could be on the lower side of normal.
