Here's something you older guys may want to consider . I've been doing baking soda and maple syrup per Jim Kelmun .

    www.quantumbalancing.com/kelmun_protocol.htm

I don't have cancer , but I have friends that do . So since I was telling them about this , I thought I'd do it myself .
I've done it for a week , and what I've found is that my face is smoother . And when waking up in the morning
I'm not all kinked up and I can get out of bed like I used to . Ready to GO !!
Baking soda takes the body back into balance . Our western diet is very acid producing .
Being acid , which equates with rusting , is now on the other side of the health issue with doing the baking soda .

I checked my ph balance with testing tape .It was 7.6 ph . I believe that what's happening is that I'm oxidizing much less now , and it's showing up in how my body feels and operates .
So , get some ph testing tape . Costs about $12.00 . Do a test before doing the Baking Soda , as a base # .
Then one after the protocol .
Information is king , and we all need as much info as possible for our health .
I'm throwing this out for you all to consider . It doesn't cost much , but the potential is great as we age .
    Hopefully gracefully .
    mael out !!!

sounds interesting! Thanks for the information, I'm definately going to try it out asap. I've noticed that lately since I've gotten back home from college I've been feeling weak all the time because of the diet at home (always been like this.. family don't know about nutrition and cooks wrong). Hopefully this will help me out. I'll update if it works for me as well!

To fight acid build up in your body one of the best things you can do is take wheatgrass everyday. You can buy it in powdered form and it is a potent alkalizer. Or you could just cut down on refined foods and animal protein.

Thanks m0ses , There are several things and ways to alkalize the body .
I was just focused on baking soda , as it's inexpensive and readily available .

            baking soda

Hey guys , I'm glad your checking this out .
I was going to see if it made any difference doing it every other day .
My PH went down from 7.6 Ph . to 7.2 Ph . in one day .
            I didn't change what I ate .
So I'll continue with it and check it again .

I woke up again with no stiffness .
If nothing else , this by itself, is worth the the effort .
            mael out !!!

              baking soda

I've checked my Ph . several times now . It will go from 7.6 Ph. to 7.0 Ph . in a day .
I just made another batch of soda and maple syrup .
I turned my roommate on to it and had him check his Ph. . It was 6.7 on the scale .
He did a tsp. and rechecked later and it went up . I forget exactly , but it was above 7.0 Ph.
In my awareness of what is happening in my body , I woke up after several hours of sleep .
Feeling refreshed and amazed that I slept so soundly .
Just wondering what y'all have observed ?
              m out !!!

                    baking soda

Wow , Ph. dropped below 7 today . Actually 6.7 Ph . . Perhaps it was from working outside and sweating so much.
I drank 4 bottles of water , at least .
I'm adding trace minerals to my water and see what that does .
                    mael out !!!

I've been monitoring my Ph. and it's been dropping steadily every day .
I'm thinking from sweating so much from working outside .
It dropped the other day , and I took 2 tsp. that morning .
Checked it this morning and it was 6.7 Ph .

I've not had the capability to check this , so just for shits and giggles , I'm going to see what sweating has to do with my Ph. balance . If anything .
Did 2 tsp. this morning , and will check it later today .

I won't be working and sweating as much today . Just at the pool getting some sun . Too bad I can't sun my sac . Damn it !!! hehehe !!
                      mael-man out !!!

                        baking soda

I've had several days of doing the soda and syrup . What I've found is that the Ph. goes down every day to about 6.8 Ph . or less . So I'm doing 1 tsp. , twice a day . I've got a list of alkaline foods , and my diet is till pretty acid making .
My breakfast is potatoes, carrots , onion ,snow peas , cheese and 1 egg . Cooked in a wok with olive oil .
Most of this is acid producing . I thought it was pretty healthy , but it still makes me rust too much . Since I love this type food , I guess I'll continue with the soda + syrup . I will keep my Ph above 7-neutral .
Has anybody got something to say about their experience ?
I feel better in my body . More limber .
                        mael out !

                          baking soda

Well , I've had a few days of checking my PH . and it keeps creeping down to the acid side .
                          It'll get to 5.8 Ph . . So I'm doing the mix twice a day .
Also , since cinnamon is good for you , I mixed in a tsp. of cinnamon to the mix to see what the effect is .
I'll tell you this , it tastes so much better . Not that it didn't taste okay before .
My Ph . is back to 7.2 .
I let it go down for a day and really felt it in my knees .
I do p90x and the lunges did a number on them .
So I mixed it up for today .
Google cinnamon to look at what it's good for . Seems everything !!
                          mael out !!!

can please describe how you make the mixture? proportions and so on? ON de Jim Kelmun page the instructions are little brief...

Anyway, I measured pH and I'm around between 6 and 7, was closer to 6 though... I think I had to buy another tapes which will give results in more detail... but it's hard to get those around here...

bad.dog . Thanks for stopping by . I've been away and needed to update this thread .
                              The ratio is 1 - 4 . 1 part Baking Soda to 4 parts Maple Syrup .
I use a coffee measure to make my mix . You could use bigger measures .

Warm the syrup for 5 minutes , don't boil !! Stir till cool . It may separate . Just stir to get the soda mixed again .
I put 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in the mix as I like the flavor and cinnamon is good for the body .
I'm taking 2 tsp . a day . 1 in morning and 1 in the afternoon . I haven't modified my diet so my body PH . is always
                              tending towards acid .
I feel that our PH is 1 way to guage our health statis .
Not much mentioned about PH. balance and health until you Google it .
                              mael out !!!
